In my eyes Guardiola today was experimenting too much. Yes, he wanted to rest players but he somehow destroyed pairings who worked well with each other in the past and you felt the insecurities all through the match. Even with the substitutions he somehow brought insecurities in as he at the same time shifted Vidal to a new right fullback role and Lahm to a left fullback role he has not played since ages.

Gladbach's turn-around is totally mental. 5 losses at the beginning of the season, Favre steps down. 6 wins in a row since. They're 4th right now. One of Wolfsburg/Leverkusen will surpass them later today, but it's still insane. The way their season is going, I wouldn't be surprised if they beat Juve in the CL this week and get back in the fight for 2nd/3rd place in their CL group.

Just don't get Breitenreiter's selections. Hojbjerg and Choupo-Mouting should start more often.
Hojbjerg has been awful so far for Schalke in my opinion.
Brilliant assist from Choupo-Mouting and Sane again with the goal for Schalke, 1-1 now.
A lack of confidence from his manager could be one reason. I think he needs to rotate more and not just throw Hojbjerg in for the last 30 or 20 minutes. Hard to look good then. Schalke shoot themselves in the foot, if they don't use their squad better.

Wow. Watching it again, that could actually be true and would make it an absolutely fantastic call. Did they show a different angle than the one in the gif I posted? I only saw this one and can't tell for sure.
There was another angle, but I was too late for that one, hopefully they repeat it.
I wasn´t really paying attention. The commentator came to the conclusion that it was a bad call after seeing it from another angle. So I tend to believe him.
