Doesn't take much for a company to kick someone out for PR reasons. Shit, companies can kick people out for any reason they make up. Not sure politicians operate at the same levels.

Either way their hand will be forced to keep him or let him go once the LAPD announce they'll either be pressing charges or dismissing the case due to a lack of evidence.

It became pointless after a while. He's denied it, but Oliver isn't there for anything other than a confession.
I think that is a telling difference - with no safety net in USA you are always on the raggedy edge and cultures become more accepting of abuse. I worked with colleagues in the USA who said they were petrified to take more than a weeks holiday because if your "cover" on a longer holiday performed better you might be sacked when you got back.
That sort of pressure can't be healthy and must lead to a lot of silent complicity with bad behavior

Strange how it's considered ok to put this down as a male problem. I thought stereotyping was a bad thing?
It's difficult because although in the majority of cases it does seem that men are the perpetrators, they can also be the victims. If we use the argument that it's mostly men therefore it's male problem with the onus falling on all men to affect change regardless of whether they themselves have been victims or not, could we not also say most sexual assaults are heterosexual and therefore it's a straight problem and that the onus lies with all heterosexuals (male and female) to affect change regardless of whether they themselves have been victims or not.
That's the problem with the broad brush strokes the most vocal on these issues inevitably seem to use.
