Celtic v Man Utd

FT 3-0

Could have been 8

Great performance from all of the lads, except Evra who was shite.

Rossi didn't have the best of games, needs a goal but not too bad from him.

Renewed optimism going into the new season :)

Yes if we play in the league were Miller was God then we stand a chance of doing the treble :p

Agreed. Fixing the matches is just soo much easier. You don't have to hassle, all you have to concentrate on for 90 minutes is abit of diving and acting, and then you go home for some pasta after the game.

Exactly, then you go and end up winning the world cup

Football is coming home early as usual...English time :D

Also, Foster made some prrtty good saves, kicking was a bit dodgey at times

Mind you, I'm not english
But then - you are.

Funny things you keep writing, englishman. I take it you're gutted.
If you were Italian you'd be happy I guess

You got a fecked up head

Its a pity about miller because some of his passes are suberb showing real vision but he is so light weight and seems to lack determination.

I was thinking the same thing about Kleberson
Always a shame when it doesn't work out.

I dont know mate. Miller had been used to the SPL. Now the SPL is technically and tactically wise inferior to the EPL. On the other hand physically wise its as aggressive and as committed as the EPL one. I wouldnt have been surprised to see a Brazilian or a Spanish struggling to adapt to the EPL's physical approach but not an Irish who happened to have played in the SPL.

Tidy performance. The experienced heads helped blend the fluency with the young pretenders.

Celtic have had a poor pre-season, so we shouldnt get carried away, but credit where due... the boys done good :)

FABULOUS to see Scholes on the score sheet again. His fitness and form are going to crucial as things stand.

He played pretty well tonight tbh. Very solid all round, much though it pains me to say it :o
Why does it pain you to say it?

Just back from the match and glad to see Paul Scholes in good form - he was head and shoulders above anyone else on the park but was also helped by Fletcher in central midfield, especially in the 1st half when they ran the show.
It could easily have been 6 but Rossi missed a couple of good chances that should really have been put away. Celtic were probably at 1/2 strength and were poor so we should not get too carried away but most of our players looked very comfortable. Good support for RVN and Ronaldo before the game and the 800 or so in the away end could be heard for most of the game !!

Very good performance, could have been a lot more. I hope we get Celtic in the group stage of the Champions League and they are second seeds in that. And Sir Alex said afterwards that Rooney could could come on as a sub against Macclesfield.

I was at the game and I can tell you most of the Utd fans were sitting next to me in with the celtic fans

we were having some good banter with the celtic fans

I honestly expected we'd lose when they announced the teams but the young lads did well

Lennon, Thompson and Sno is a formidable midfield but we dominated

Scholesy is world class

He is world class.

He needs proper midfielders to play around and compliment him from behind.
