CFR Cluj v Manchester United

We can do everything besides defend it seems. Should've had a penalty for the foul on Cleverley. We're making chances though and should probably be ahead. RVP has been put through by Clev and Chico and should've probably taken the first and would usually bag the 2nd too.

Don't think Hernandez is suited for this system. Need to get Welbeck on.

Think it's a diamond and Rooney is playing behind RVP and Chich, SAF said so before the game.

Which is 4-3-3. It's not like the forwards in a 4-3-3 have to stand in a perfect line the whole time. It's the same with people saying '4-4-1-1'... that's 4-4-2.

Anyway...

Anderson's passing... I like it. Doesn't always come off, but is pretty creative. Reminds me of Giggsy when played in midfield at times.

Not as good as I expected but there were many positives for sure. We had about 70% of the ball which is a good thing. Ando and Rooney were very good. Evra again forgot that he is supposed to defend.

I can see the potential of this new formation, might work better with Kagawa in for Hernandez and RVP up top. The defence needs to get their shit together, fast. Evra and Evans were poor on that goal, Evra really worries me now. It's getting to a stage where I expect them to get down his side easily and get a cross in.

Yeah agree with this.

Throw on Kagawa and play him and Rooney off of RVP.

Buttner for Evra.

Cleverley and Rooney are too deep to be playing as strikers.

Also, I'm not saying he could play further forward, just maybe bomb forwards more from the same starting position.

I think Rooner is playing the role you want Ando to play.

Cleverley is pretty quiet

This is boring as feck. It's one am here and Cluj ain't helping me keep my eyes open. They are real pile of shit.

At least our midfield aren't letting them go past us easily. We need to increase our tempo. Evra unsurprisingly lazy to prevent the cross for their goal. Other than that, everything is okay.

Well we controlled the first half and we actually try and create openings through the middle. Van Persie got a great through ball, he must have been shocked, that's why he missed.

My criticism would be that we play at a pedestrian tempo. We should move quicker and move the ball around quicker.

People can say what they want, but whenever Rooney's on the pitch our general play is seriously improved compared to the shit we're usualy watching (this season) with him off it.

Hernandez is also improving, I don't think I'm the only one who noticed that, his touch, passing and ability to hold the ball up and shield it has improved.

RvP with a lucky goal, but otherwise some nice play so far apart from a couple of dodgy finishes, but he's not the only one guilty of that.

Was there goal offside? First ball looked close.

Wow, any Yanks out there? Warren Barton is not a fan of Evans. At all.

Southgate thinks we are playing bRAGA.

Called Cluj , Braga 3 times now

God that's an awful goal... Evra, for some bizarre reason shifts himself 2 yards inside to counter some phantom run or something? Is way too far away from his man, he comes in, then Evans decides to completely forget about the one sodding bloke that's in the box... and that's your lot.

The two of them need their heads banging together for that one.

Which is 4-3-3. It's not like the forwards in a 4-3-3 have to stand in a perfect line the whole time. It's the same with people saying '4-4-1-1'... that's 4-4-2.

Not really, a diamond is never called a 4-3-3 which is just a different formation. If you translate it in into numbers it would be a 4-1-2-1-2 I think, Fletcher sitting, Cleverely and Anderson in the middle, Rooney off the strikers, RVP and Hernandez up front.

Clunge are choosing to pitch tents inside their own box. It's always going to be tough to break teams' down with that mentality!

All these calls for increasing the tempo - how do you suppose we do it with 10 men behind the ball?

I would like to see Buttman coming out in the second half. His step-overs and eagerness might win us a penalty on two. Nani for Hernandex wouldn't be bad either.

4-2-3-1 with width please. I don't like this diamond or whatever it is. Too easy to stop by flooding men in the middle.
