Champions League Quarter Finals 2020/21 - Apr 6/7 & 13/14

If PSG played City, sure their front three (or two) would run all over City's defence.

City definitely couldn't push a CH right up like they're doing with Stones now and then. You'd have to keep one spare defender back.. no way you go man to man against Mbappe/Neymar, which slightly restricts their way of playing - they like pushing players up to give them width.

(But I'll happily take Dortmund winning tonight too).

Dahoud needs to feck off, twice he's taken a shot on when Haaland was clean through

Haaland needs to do more though, been almost anonymous in these two games

Yup - for all of Guardiola's emphasis on technique, their team is slow AF. Once you beat their initial press with quick players it's curtains for them.

Klopp: "If we had our fans, those missed chances would have been goals"

Their fans say the same thing!

That's special pleading! The Kop isn't some cauldron of atmosphere that cannot be found elsewhere. They have their occasional noisy CL nights, but as a whole they're as quiet as the next PL club. Why the feck shouldn't Madrid make the same argument for not having fans at their home leg? "If only Madrid had their fans....."

Tired after the Haaland's European Tour?

The last one was so greedy, surprised Haaland didn't have a go at him.

The last time I watched Dortmund defend deep like this at the Klassiker they got absolutely annihilated in the second half.
PLEASE stop calling Dortmund - Bayern "the Klassiker". That is just media hype, based on nothing to create something similar to El Clasico.

In all history there are maybe less than twenty years were Dortmund and Bayern are actually competing in the same league and on the same level, that's it.

Or Liverpool have been great bar the finishing?
Both honestly. You're playing well and we're playing like a team that just went through a clasico under biblical weather with a midfielder playing in defence

Yeah we're playing on dead legs, as i feared...

There's always a chance Liverpool will over-commit and then you get a goal on the counter. Their defence is vulnerable.

There will be a big push from Liverpool in that second half, but the finishing hasn't looked amazing. That's going to let them down tonight.

Could we really not of got Bellingham? He's a class above the likes of fred and mctom

According to the press we really pushed for the move but he never really considered us. We even drafted in Fergie as part of the tour of Carrington but Bellingham and his entourage seemed set on Dortmund as a place for him to develop with regular game time in a good environment.

Looks like the right decision from his perspective tbf.

Real look like they don't want to score, uncharacteristically bad passing from the likes of Modric, Kroos and Benzema. They are lucky Liverpool are missing chances. I still think Real have enough in them to go through.

I gave Dortmund no chance of progressing but that Bellingham goal has given me hope. They really need an out ball here after soaking up the City pressure, one good counter is all it'll take.

It'll probably all go wrong in the second halves.

If Liverpool get one, which surely they will, and it comes early enough I'll start to worry. Real just seem to be cruising probably due to their lead, which is a bit naive.

We're both multiple CL winners. That excuse didn't wash for us last week and it doesn't this week in the first half.

Hitzfeld years culminating in winning the CL in 1996?

Hope results stay as they are or improve. I refuse to entertain the notion of City even contemplating the Quad.

Dahoud's been one of the best players in both matches in my opinion. And that one shot was from a great position, so can't really fault him for trying from there.

Any Dortmund river that's not super choppy? PM please :)

He assumed he'd get no game time if he came to United. It appears he underestimated how good he was.

I thought about why we didn't buy and loan out.
Obviously BVB's model is that they CREATE value and cash in at the right time, so don't really like taking players on loan.

Jude and his team clearly have the right strategy in mind and hope he continues growing

Thats why it's soo frustrating that we didn't do more. His next move will be for 100 plus mill

Private tour with SAF, was it not. What more were we supposed to do? Don't think we offered less money and we couldn't have promised him guaranteed first XI spot..
