Complete shitfest so far. Atlético playing with no ambition and Madrid, while controlling the match, look like they've no idea how to break the Atlético defence down.

Don't expect the 2nd half to be much better.

Yeah it's much better to be wasted on the bench at Madrid. Specially since they were in the CL and only had one striker in Benzema. In here he wouldn't get a sniff.

Who cares who is taking the shot? It was a poor effort from Ronaldo as it wasn't in either corner and the keeper just had to stay where he was. If any keeper let that in it would go down as poor goal keeping simple as that.

There were less strikers ahead of him at Madrid than at United. Even with retrospect it was the right decision.

Personally I have a ton of respect for what they have done these last few years. Nothing short of incredible so I bear their negativity more than others perhaps, also given their resources.

But yes, they aren't going to be involved in end to end matches. That's only against lesser sides.

Good first half.Ramos is decent in the middle and Chicharito is working very hard. We'll see how they are phisically in the second half
 
Ronaldo lacks close control and balance to stay in possession of the ball during dribbles, thus he is quite useless in these type of games with little space and adrenaline warriors closing you down.

His only chance to present some danger is by prowling around for the tap in.
 
Dive-fest so far. Ronaldo should have scored and the save was nothing special tbf.

"but he scores this many goals in this many appearances and he is the greatest player in the world." He's a luxury player, great when your on top in the game and creating chances for him but as soon as the going gets tough and his team has their backs against the wall he wont have much impact.

He probably should have done better on his chance that he had so he had his chance to make his mark on the game.
