Champions League Round of 16 (12th Feb - 13th Mar)

Just saw the highlights - Schalke GK is an absolute clown. Hilarious goals conceded, and in such an abundance

I seen a reporter say on twitter that Simeone's biggest flaw is that he's too afraid of losing and it's absolutely spot on. In the first leg they actually tried to play against Juve and could've scored a couple more than the two they did get. They should've approached the game in the same way tonight as an away goal would've killed the tie. To sit back, allow crosses to come into the box and allow Juventus to build momentum was just crazy. He got everything he deserved tonight.

It's just a pity Costa was suspended. Not because he would've changed anything as far as the result goes but the comedy factor would've been tremendous.

Rightly so. Cowardice should never be rewarded

He knew! He bloody knew what would happen.

Haha...it's a sign of being a GOAT. They will show up because you know you'll show up and put on the show they thought could/would happen if they showed up. Incredible, incredible.

Still don't think he called them to prove a point. It's more of a, hey big match on Tuesday night we need your support as always against a good squad so come out or tune in. Thanks for supporting me and the team.

So what's the latest on who's the all time greatest in the forever-going soap-opera Ronaldo vs Messi?

I don’t really get the comparison. I find them to be completely different players. Both just happen to be amazing players.

It’s like comparing a tiger and a lion. Both big cats, but both completely different.

Why wasn’t the penalty reviewed by the VAR? That was not a penalty and they didn’t even review it.
Looked like it was to me. Ref stood around talking to players whilst the VAR refs took care of it.

It was a pen, Correa clipped Bernadeschi's foot which is how he fell. You bet there would have been a huge uproar from the Atlético side if it wasn't a pen.

That's spot on actually.

I feel a thread brewing...

Edit: are steel chairs allowed?

Nah, unless we want to start introducing armour and weapons ... polar bear battle armour would be cool, could you teach a gorilla to dual wield axes?

I really hope PETA doesn't read the caf.

Gorilla takes this IMO.

Those bastards are way too strong.

No chance. Gorillas are peaceful animals that use displays of dominance rather than physical violence. They would be too slow and the best they could do is charge at them while beating their chest, and eventually tiring out.

Look we'll find a particularly angry gorilla. Like the Gattusso of the gorilla world.

Then we'll subject him to 4 hours of round the clock Piers Morgan footage and I'll be damned if he's ever peaceful again.

Feck the Gorilla, get a Chimpanzee. They are very aggressive and built like brick shithouses. You're telling me you wouldn't back this guy in a fight?

Would still rather fight one of those than take a peek in the 'messi vs ronaldo' thread, tbf.

Looks a bit like Keith flint from Prodigy god rest his soul.

Does Morata do anything else other than fall to the ground?
There is a rumour doin the rounds that he actually took off one time at Anfield during a Liverpool V Chelsea match andt landed at Goodison Park. Not sure if there is any truth in the report. But the taxi driver who brought him back to Anfield swears that it is true.
