Champions v. Chelsea - The FA Cup Final

Chelsea are playing their prefered system and their best team under the circumstacnes.

Whereas we, are not, it doesn't look like.

Slightly defensive line-up from United, with both Heinze and Fletch in the team.

Fletch is destined to score.

Like that line-up.Something I expected too.I wanted Heinze to start ahead of Evra.

Mikel and Makalele in the same midfield - that's encouraging. They were crap against Liverpool in the second leg of the CL semifinal. There was no movement through the middle in that game, hopefully they can be just as insipid today.

the bbc pundits leaning towards chelsea.

"Jose Mourinho has said he wants this to be a final to be remembered and he has given us a wide player, fantastic. This 4-3-3 is Chelsea's best formation and this makes them difficult to beat."
BBC Five Live analyst Graham Taylor

"I think Sir Alex Ferguson is concerned about Chelsea's three in midfield which is why Darren Fletcher is in. Jose Mourinho has won the tactical battle at the minute, but it's a gamble to play Wayne Bridge against Cristiano Ronaldo."
BBC Five Live analyst Chris Waddle

Should be a cracking game, although probably very tight and not many goals. I do think Chelsea are very strong. Not saying we aren't...just that with the league under our belt we will need a very high standard performance to beat this Chelsea team

1419: All sorts of glowing tributes have been given to the new Wembley, but Peter Schmeichel's verdict took the biscuit. The former Manchester United keeper described it as "nice".

Us playing 4-3-3 also, suits Chelseas in my opinion. Better to have Smith alongside Rooney, so he does not get isolated. Was also surprised to see Heinze get the nod over Evra.

Heinze and Brown at fullback. Hmm, Evra might have handled SWP better.

Obi Mikel, SWP and Bridge play for Chelsea.

I don't like our line-up. We may struggle to score with Rooney on his own up front and I can see this going to penalties.

these are my concerns also.

particularly Heinze handling SWP.

if we lose i'm gonna be really angry that we've played Rooney alone upfront. it just seems to work less than it fails.

but let's hope i'm wrong!

cmon UNITED!

SAF looks so relaxed and he looks like he's enjoying every minute of it.
Hope that's a good sign that the team is also happy and relaxed

BBC said that Sir Alex shook the hand of every legend who was introduced. Nice touch that.

Loving the feeling of nerves. Having moved over to Holland, although I have seen every game this season on tv, I have had to do with with Dutch commentary (which I do not understand). Have loved the build up to this game and cannot wait for us to play the game our way and put on a performance that only we are capable of.

I'm pretty sure Prince William was expecting the crowd to be quiet for him to speak

"And this is Fat Frank"

- Mourinho introducing Prince William to Lampard

Well I may or may not end up in hospital today. But whatever happens I'm not moving until this game is done. Here we go.
