Chelsea 2017/18 thread - FA Cup Champs, League chumps

I really hope that roman will wait with sacking. Jose mourinho deserves to KO conte at old trafford. It would be just marvelous:drool:

Messi must be salivating at the thought of playing them.

I bet he scores a hat-trick in both legs to vanquish his Chelsea duck

Going to be glorious seeing them get torn apart by Barcelona.

Conte though :lol::lol::lol:

How can a team that was so good last season, turn shit in half a year?
Pretty much the same players, and same manager.
Must be something we don't see, players unhappy with manager, or something like that.
They have a good squad, in my opinion.

Jose apparently had an epic meltdown and lost the dressing room.

Conte came in and peace was restored. That is until the players spit their dummy out again, which is clearly what happened with Jose now it’s hapening with conte.

Player power obviously rules at Chelsea over anyone else

They're still fourth, with West Brom and Hull at home coming up. Wouldn't write them off yet.

He'll be sacked for sure IMO. No way he stays til the United game, though I hope he does so we hammer them.

Same what happened in the last Jose season?

Facts. Although people don't like to hear it. Its happened under pretty much every manager Chelsea's had since Mourinho first time around. Mou's haters will tell you its all his fault though.

Conte was talking about 'a Mourinho season' at the start of the year. What's he saying now?

I think it's a case of other teams adapting and figuring out how to play against 343. It's not as effective this season. That and the fact that it's Chelsea where they win a title, then have a meltdown, sack their manager, hire someone else, and usually win a title again.

Man is gonna need to buy a ticket to confront Jose at old Trafford like he promised

It looks like Mourinho got more of the blame than he probably deserved.
Looks like it's the players doing it every time, curious to know why though.

I mean, I despise the guy, but they’re still within touching distance of 2nd with what, 12 games to go? Let’s hope he gets them there though!

Chelsea is pure Hollywood. Every once in a while players decide they want a new manager.

If only they had signed Peter Crouch and Andy Carroll. What were people expecting? They have no quality up front

Luis Enrique is already lined up.

Oh, oh, oh, another genius of a manager. He will be sacked withing 3 months. As useless as they come these Barcelona Pep imitations. I mean, Messi won them loads and made them look good as managers.

Joking aside it's clear that he has given up. He looked like a certain dead man walking on the pitch today. Players have downed the tools as usual and he failed with them. He sees himself at no wrong and that's the best he can achieve with this group of players.

Don't think about a single scenario in which he'll complete this season.

But this is a very different group of players!

People shouldn't be making excuses for Conte. He deserves no sympathy. All he's done since the start of the season is moan and cry about his squad and that sets a negative environment around the club. He should doing better with the players he has. He can't complain about not being backed in the market because it was his decision to get rid of integral players like Costa and Matic and replace them with Bakayoko, Morata etc. In Mourinho's final season you can say it was player power because he had the exact same squad from the previous year but this is Conte's squad. He's the one buying players like Drinkwater, Barkley, Zappacosta and not giving the players on loan a chance. Managers inspire players but it's like he's just waiting to be put out of his misery.

Have the players really given up or is the problem the constant speculation about Conte's future? Doesn't that lack of stability trickle down to the playing staff?

I dont like it when people get the sack, but in this case, if it happens, I will be ecstatic.

As for Chelsea, they have a group of spineless egocentric players who care only for themselves and no one else. They brought down Jose and now doing the same with Conte.

Hazard is the main culprit, he looks like a nice kid but he is just a snake. I read somewhere that he can win Ballon d' or. Not in a million years. He is no Messi, and he is definitely not Ronaldo. Feckin one trick pony.

Babayoko is my favourite Chelsea player. He looks like someone trying to do a comedy impression of Fellaini.

Luis Enrique won't have limitless funds at Chelsea like Pep has at City, or class like De Bruyne etc.

He will have Ross Barkley and Coco The Clown.

There're 40 goals and 22 assists coming from just 3 players they previously had on their books, the team as whole scored 46 goals so far.

What does the FA Cup have to do with writing them off in the league? They play us at Old Trafford in the PL game coming up after WBA. Considering they lost against Bournemouth and Watford with a goal difference of 1-7, I wouldn't be surprised if they'd feck up again at home. Let's just hope Liverpool feck up just as much!

He might get the Wigan job. Can Chelsea afford toupee him off. Maybe he'll go back to his roots.
