How happy are Chelsea fans with Kante? Looks like such a good signing and in hindsight one that would have suited us perfectly.
Total delight, same size and stature as Mekelele only better on the ball. Still cant believe we got him and for such good value in this crazy market. I guess a player like him does not have a role at any of the other top clubs apart from Chelsea and United.

They are very good, I think Kante brings a good stability to get the ball back, and that in turn gives Hazard and others options to move forward freely. If United can make Kante busy, then their might be a chance to win the battle in midfield. Otherwise, Chelsea will go very far this season, they seem to be balanced and motivated again.
We've already seen from his time in Italy that Conte can organize his teams well. They need a CB and they will get one. Matic and Kante playing in midfield means that they are not going to concede too many, too often.
They have no European distractions and the limelight is all on the Manchester clubs this season. These are prefect conditions for them.
Only question mark is their attacking players. Costa and Hazard seem to have found their form again and if they can sustain it for the course of the season, they'll be in the title mix.

Pretty gutted did not get him to go with Pogba, would have been one hell of a energetic but technically brilliantly midfield duo to go into the season, and solved allot of united's long term problems. People going on about city worrying everyone, the one team that looks balanced and settled is chelsea. Marcos Alonso, according to seasoned Serie A watchers, is pretty damn good apparently has improved at crazy amounts since his EPL days. Also talk they'll be getting Stefan de Vrij of Lazio, and Brozovic from Inter too. Not sure about the James Rodriguez talk but could easily see them try a monster bid just for shits n giggles.

In Juventus they thought they had the player (Axel Witsel) to replace Pogba, but now on the final day of the transferperiod Conté wants Witsel as well.
Conte's eyes scare me, but I respect them. He looks like the kind of person who could choose to be a serial killer. Or could be the nicest man in the world. Chelsea will come second.

Our big mistake was our inability to acquire Ousmane Dembélé

- Cavani is a big uncertainty and yes he is the only one pure striker
But we have Augustin from the PSG academy - Jésé for 25m was a mistake.
- Ben Arfa was a free agent but he is likely to be a super sub, so very challenging
- Lucas Moura is stagnating
- Pastore is generally injured
Pros
- To sell Digne for 15-20m & Luiz are excellent news.
- Our defence will be better this year with Thiago Silva+Marquinhos (instead or Luiz)+ Krychowiak (instead of Motta).
Challenging season but interesting one
Chelsea found the perfect fool in PSG for paying £50m for Luiz. Quite incredible that Chelsea buy him back for almost the same amount when he's barely improved and is 29. Don't care how you spin it, it looks like a poor deal.

It's a deal that reeks of desperation. I've never felt Luiz was as bad as people often make out on although the fact he is being signed on deadline day with no prior rumours following a list of failed attempts to sign other defenders is pretty telling.
Failed to sign Koulibaly, Manolas, Romanogli and Miskimovic. Now breaking the bank for Luiz.

All the outlets are reporting around £40m. And to be honest I don't think that would be far off.
We were never linked with Maksimovic or Manolas by any reliable or serious outlets.
I've just had a look at the BBC, Guardian, Independant and The SUn. None of them have it at £40 million (all lower or no figure given).
