Chelsea vs. Manchester United

I thought you lot would like it if Rooney missed the World Cup, but was back for pre-season.

It'd teach the inbred Chelsea cnuts a lesson anyway.

I was thinking the same thing, but how dissappointing would it be to Wayne himself... he desereves to play in the World Cup.

More concerned for him as a United player.

he hasnt done anything effective really, should have scored, a couple of shots which is expected from a striker, but to me (in my opinion) rooney is nowhere near as good as people make him out to be, when people say his as good as ronaldinho, its actually not fair to the boy and its disrespecful to the brazilian genius, he has a long way to go before he can effect games like ronaldinho

ronaldo has been shocking to,still just another potential......i understand for him its more difficult since wingers need to have a great midfield to really express themselves but that being said if he doesnt start well, it seems it all goes down hill from their, he needs to learn to keep grafting...he like rooney has all the potential in the world, but they need to do alot more yet to be great players...ronaldo is a better player for portugal not because of the opposition he plays, but because he understands that game more since he was grown into it, rooney should be amazing in games like this since he was brought up in the english league and as to what people say he already is......"white pele".......c'mon, the closest thing to that was fat ronaldo.....so rooney is better than ronaldo now at his peak?

and im not trying to turn this into a rooney vs ronaldo thread or anything like that because i think both are can be great players, but i think they have alot to learn yet, today they were both very dissapointing for me....as was most of the team though

:wenger: great timing for an essay

I would'nt like to be the Chelsea player who injured Rooney right now, he's gonna be the most hated player in England.

It was Ferreira and I doubt if he gives a feck.
And, it wasn't entirely his fault IMO, it was just the way Rooney went down...

Bit like Deuscher, he'll have to make a public apology.

We'll then try and sign him in 3-4 years. :wenger:

I don't think the players are that interested. Other than Rooney, I thought they all gave up after the second.

WTF is wrong with Mourinho. Terry has been hobling for the past hour.

I think it's only fair that Ferreira's legs get broke today.

It's depressing enough how too many of our players have been simply out fought, and out thought, today. But Rooney possibly being so seriously injured, casts a huge shadow over all that.

On the radio they're all speculating about yet another metatarsal injury, but frankly how it looked from afar and Rooney's reaction too, that could be relatively good news.

Hope it looks and sounds worse than it actually ends up being, that's all you can say.

Terry still limping. He'll feel that in the morning.
He's been limping since the 1st half, don't know why Mourinho hasn't done anything about it

Yeah. Rooney would be gutted, but he'd have a good rest.

England's fecked without him. :D

a bit early to worry about the world cup. we still have two league games for which Rooney is unlikely to be available.
