Chelsea vs. Manchester United

well .... if only we had a few more fit defenders!!!

It's fine, they were equally as shit in Europe when everyone was saying 'omg we're gonna get spanked against Chelsea playing like this.'

They were shit too and probably thinking 'omg we're gonna get spanked against United playing like this.'

I reckon we've got the quality to see them off.

Actually now bit worried about Young.

I know he is good against Chelsea or whatever but wtf he was out for so long and is not starting.

Remember Park coming back from injury in some big game last year.:nervous:

That Chelsea front line is very worrying. We could get overrun in midfield

Surprisingly, I feel very confident about this one. We will win.

C'mon United :) surprisingly confident for this one, but not in a "this'll be easy" way.

Just don't panic if we concede a goal in the first 15-20 minutes, it usualy takes us that long to start playing this season.

Like the team besides Young over Nani, which is genuinely mental.

Clev needs a big game with all the Chelsea bodies in midfield.

So we've randomly decided to stick Young in the team ahead of Valencia, Welbeck and Nani, after 2 months out? Terrific

Why does Fergie always have atleast one mind feck per big match?

Squad rotation is great and all, but do we really need to do it with the 'Kick it out' t-shirts.

Just Welbeck and Nani. Valencia's starting as well.

Like Raven I thought he'd appear in the league cup rather than this game.

There will be hell to pay regarding that Ashley Young inclusion if we don't win this...

Seriously though...it's pretty unorthodox stuff!

Young over Nani.

What's next...Michelle Keegan to knock on my door and me to marry her?!

Young's inclusion is baffling, for many reasons.

Not if the speculation about nani is true.

For whatever raeson, if his head is not right, then we need players whose heart and soul is at the club. Especially for a game of this nature.

Im relaxed about Young. he has a good work-rate and and wont affect us defensively. He just needs to beat his man and send over missiles for Van Persie to detonate.

He is in the starting line-up.

Chelsea can be exploited on the wings as both their wide man play narrow. I am not surprised as Nani is definitely out of favor and looks likely to be sold in January.

Edit: He will also provide better cover for Evra.

It's not just the fact that he's playing ahead of Nani, that seems to have gone beyond footballing reasons at this stage. But he's barely fecking played, and Welbeck and Hernandez haven't exactly been in bad form either.

It's a really, really weird inclusion, but maybe he'll put it off. I hope so.

Decent team. Lets not forget saf has seen young in training over the past couple of weeks where as we haven't.

Would really like the Cleverley and Anderson combination be given another try, it was brilliant in the early part of last season before Kevin Davies crocked Clevs.

My bad.

The general point stands though, we're playing the top of the table team. We can't afford to lose. So play our best team. But not Fergie, no that'd be far to obvious.

No it doesn't stand. You've the one who had a mindfeck, going off on a rant when you didn't even read the lineup.

I can tell you'll be one of those sad whiney cnuts who stink up the match day thread.

do any of you expect us to revert to the diamond if the 1st half doesn't go as planned?

if we win this, i'll take off my shirt in front of the thousands of papparazzi that will surely come to my house, now that they know they may get a few pics of my nipples

Like I said when a winger scored 2 goals against us for Braga, that's the end of the Diamond experimentation.

Our players are versed in their roles of who supports who and who tracks who in a 4-4-2, Fergie isn't risking it against that fluid attack.
