Chelsea vs. Manchester United

Young starting in the first match after some months looks risky to me. Otherwise it is pretty good.

I hate Stamford Bridge, even if we play well here it's a nightmare.

Can't help but always feel disappointed for Welbeck whenever he doesn't start, to me it seems he is one of the common factors in our best performances over the last year, not necessarily results wise but certainly in terms of playing our best quick tempo brand of football.

Still, fecking buzzing to see Rooney and Robin play together in a big away game!

I wouldn't have expected Young to start this one. He must be looking sharp in training, or at least he better be.

Otherwise the team looks strong enough and everyone should feel comfortable with this formation.

Ashley Young clearly playing in case we get desperate and need a penalty.

Considering how each team has been defending and attacking, I reckon the final score will be 6-6.

Dont agree. Top future talent and all that, but still not reliable enough in his core function, to score goals, to be an automatic starter for me.

He has lots to learn and plenty of time. I don't think many of the class of 1994/5 had played as many games as he has done at his age right now.

He's doing well, let him develop naturally.

Very good front line of Chelsea. Surprised we play Young after being out for so long and no game since then

Interesting Cleverley is prefered to Scholes. It's a very fast attacking line up we have going. Should be a great game...unless we're thrashed 5-0.

Valencia vs Cole is a battle I'm eagerly excited to see again.

Official Lineup:

De Gea
Evra
Ferdinand
Evans
Rafael
Cleverley
Carrick
Valencia
Young
Rooney
Van Persie

Cant see us going 442 away from home.

I think we'll play Rooney as a pure midfielder to do the leg work.
Interesting selection in putting Young in.

A formation like the below has both the legs and stamina as well as the pace and attacking skill to win via a pressing game with fast, lethal counter attacks.

Also can quickly move between a strict 451, into an attacking 433 when we counter attack.

............DdG

Rafael Evans Rio Evra

Carrick, Cleverley
.........Rooney

Valencia......Young

We will concede inside the opening 2 minutes. Its how we like to play now so dont panic when it happens.

Disappointed in 4-4-2 and Young starting but glad to see Cleverley's playing even though I think the system stifles his quality.

As has been said, I can't see us going 442. 451/433 with Rooney in midfield is more likely.
