CL 14/15 Group Stage Matchday 4 - October 4th/5th

Mignolet's really staking a claim to start ahead of Brad Jones on Saturday.

Remember a time when some posters on here were comparing Smalling with Varane. How silly that looks now.

"Markovic is really pacey" say he commentator as Markovic looks like he's running on sand whuilst wearing flippers.

Been happening all season. Pretty weird.

Hadn't seen much about him before Liverpool but based on his time here I'd say he's slow. Ask anyone who seen him before and they say he's rapid...

Liverpool are doing pretty well, though this has the feel of a 3rd round FA Cup tie between a conference side and an elite Premier League team. Brentan has shown no ambition with the selection, but they've been pretty feisty and energetic in their play.

For some reason he is/looks slower at the moment, during his time in Partizan/Benfica he was/looked way faster then today, dunno why.

All this is showing is that Rodgers needs to grow some balls and drop Gerrard permanently.

They might still not score a goal but at least they can keep it tight with some legs and no Hollywood Balls.

I actually backed under 1.5 goals in this game to win 350 quid... I can lay it off now for a fair bit of profit :wenger:

1:1
Juve can't catch a break.

And Arteta converts a pen.

Dare I say it Pool actually look the better side.

Liverpool can definitely "afford" to lose this one, that's why I can sort of understand the lineup. Getting something from the Bernabeu is a bonus in any case. Basel losing the last game was a gift from the Lord himself. They only need to beat them at home and Ludogorets away, regardless of what happens in either match tonight. Never a walk in the park of course, but still very doable even for this Liverpool side.
