There you go.

Leverkusen win 1:2 in St. Petersburg. Brilliant first goal, can't comment on anything other than that since I only saw this one goal...

Real Madrid - Liverpool
Zenit St. Petersburg 1 - 2 Bayer Leverkusen
Benfica - Monaco
Arsenal - Anderlecht
Borussia Dortmund - Galatasaray

Manchester City - CSKA Moscow
Ajax - Barcelona
Paris Saint Germain - APOEL Nicosia
Maribor - Chelsea
Sporting CP - Schalke 04

Shakhtar Donetsk - BATE Borisov

I jokingly said earlier that I hope Ronaldo scores 12; after seeing Liverpool's line up he actually might.

^Son's incredible first goal tonight

Can't believe Liverpool are putting out a team like that away to Real Madrid. They should be celebrating the opportunity and play their guts out. Reputationwise it's the biggest game they've had in ages.

This just smells of a freak result to me... and no, 14:0 wouldn't be freakish. More like a 1:1.

It's bizzare from Liverpool, wait so long to get back in the Champions League and put a second string side out. I'd be furious if United put out a side like that.

Hoping Liverpool get annihilated tonight and at the weekend. Brenton will have nowhere to go if they lose both matches horribly.

If we can keep it to 1-0 or 0-0 until the 60th minute (it'll take a miracle) then I'd throw Gerrard and Sterling on and go for it.

I remember a couple years back when we had the top spot wrapped up before our last game at City and Heynckes rested so many players that Pranjic played on the 10 spot. I was furious even back then even though it was a "pointless" match.
SometimesI almost feel sorry for Liverpool fans.

Perhaps they come into form, you never know. I know if it were United in that position, I'd be pretty mad about playing a weakened line up.

I'll be watching Ronaldo and James scoring two goals each so someone please provide me with Atletico set-piece score updates here. Thanks in advance.

I don't know...if you come top 4, you'll get into the champions league next year...best not risk taxing the players tonight eh?

exactly, it's not like this is any kind of dead rubber.

they're joint 2nd for rucks sake!

Looking at it very pragmatically, they're fighting for second place so this match doesn't really mean much in the group. They rather get smashed with their reserves than the first team.

Apparently, tonight represents a great opportunity...or ten:

Brendan 'Opportunity' Rodgers said:
"Real are in a good run of form so it will be a tough test for us but a great opportunity for us to show what we can do and prove people wrong. There is still a lot of confidence in the group and team spirit isn't an issue."

"We have had a few people criticising us over the last few games so this is a massive opportunity to prove a few people wrong and see how good we are. We know we are not at our best yet but this is a great opportunity to show we are still a top side."

Speaks to the lack of quality depth at 'Pool that they are fielding a team of lambs in a CL game.

I dunno if its Bein Sports, but Real is a 442 and Liverpool have Joe Allen in the hole
