CL 14/15 Group Stage Matchday 4 - October 4th/5th

The slight positive for City is that when they will play Bayern now, it will be a Bayern qualified and certain of finishing top. That will mean few rested players for Bayern and City will have chance. The game in Rome will be decider in all probability. Can't rule out CSKA yet though. Fascinating.

Weak refereeing, Toure should have gone there. Clearest yellow you'll see, but ref botttled it.

Split second later, ref has gotten the wrong man and CSKA should be down to 10.

Looking at City, they seem to have too many players who instinctively stop whenever they get the ball. Toure, Nasri, Milner, Fernando... The fullbacks tend to only speed things up high up, and even Navas often does a 'Valencia'.
Aguero is the only one who consistently drives as soon as he gets the ball.

They could do with an injection a pace centrally. Someone like Isco, who has a spring in his step and tries to move forward with his first touch, would benefit them a lot.
They really need Lampard in the last 2 games...they need experience how to play in europe.

But they're playing against Bayern Munich and will probably lose so they will not even qualify for the Europa League.

Ref books wrong player, CSKA should have a man sent off as well

Even a "relaxed" Bayern will beat them easily.

Messi has equalled Raul's CL record now, reckon Ronaldo will lose some sleep tonight. It's going to be incredible seeing those two bettering the record from now on.

 This is great entertainment!

Tbf Yaya could easily have been shown a second yellow a minute ago.

Still will need to hope Roma or CSKA drop points while also needing to beat both Roma and Bayern themselves. Not impossible but you feel they need to get something from this one to stand a realistic chance of making it now.

I'm not so sure. Bayern were 2-0 up and started to relax which let City come back and win last season. Hopefully Bayern take them seriously this time and keep concentrating for the full 90.

Toure
