CL/EL Semi Finals Draw | Pool to face Bayern/Real in final

In the current Chelsea state, there's more chance of Arsenal leapfrogging them to 5th than for Chelsea to get into top 4.
Well, considering they are 3pts ahead of Arsenal and 10pts behind 4th, that's not exactly saying much.

People crying as if Liverpool are already in the final.

Show Roma, you know the team that beat unbeaten Barca 3-0 some respect.

Haven't half the caf been wanting Nainggolan to come to Utd? So he is good enough for United but not good enough to match Liverpool?

Aren't Strootman and Manolas also muppet signings?

Not an easy draw. Roma could end up dismantling us if they neuter our press with their own.
Will be interesting to see Allison over two legs though. Dreading this more than I would Real/Bayer.
It's the easiest draw for a CL semi final as your gonna get. Feels like EL semi final draw, Liverpool will get to the final.

James to score the matchwinner against Real. Such an obvious narrative.

To be brutally honest, from what we've seen in the quarter finals I had no more confidence in either Bayern or Real handling the scousers any better than Roma. The Romans showed a spirit none of the others did in my opinion, and people might be left surprised.

Not just the point difference. Chelsea have got only 7 points of their last 24, and won only 3 league games in 2018. They're in a pretty dire state.

They started the year second in the table and now 10 points behind 4th.

Roma have a fantastic target man, and a manager that will adapt his tactics to Liverpool. I would not be surprised at all if Roma park the bus and punt long balls to Dzeko and sneak out of Anfield with a draw.

Exactly, it's not a walkover by any means and Roma could out tactic them over 2 legs.

Yup I was at both games, the brutality that night from the police was sickening. After the game was the unsafest I’ve ever felt, always disliked Roma because of that experience but willing to forgive all if they knock Liverpool out.

Its like being asked to choose whether you want to get hit in the face with a two by four or a bottle. I've gone for the two by four because I don't think it'll cut me up quite as bad. Roma>Liverpool anyday. Still a s-t choice though.

You mean the 2nd legs only right?

Fair enough, maybe Arse to catch them?

The thread title :lol::lol:

It really is anyone's Cup though, I'll be in Italy that week too so will be extra special.

Champions league final

Roma versus Real Madrid

Or

Roma versus Bayern Munich

It doesn’t look exciting but please let it be one of those

Liverpool get a bye into the final.

Get ready for a one-off showdown against Madrid which will be decided by fluky weird stuff like dodgy penalties, red cards etc and then 6 times, la

Ffs... PSG, Juventus and now Bayern.

Where are the cold ball conspiracies now?

There is no conspiracy, Perez's Visa card just got rejected one too many times.

Have some faith. They're dreaming right now, coming back to beat Barcelona. They'll do everything to get to the final, first CL final in history, now they have a chance.

I don't want Bayern in the final. They'll choke it so bad - like 2012 to give Chelsea their first title. I can already imagine Robben missing 10 chances and a penalty.

Neuer never can come soon enough after this draw for Bayern. How long he injury for?
And Roma? As long as they stay compact at the back, they will have chance. Dzeko will bully the out of Lovren and Van Dijk.

First leg is at home :( Would rather have faced either of the other two away first & played the second half at Anfield, but I guess we'll just see what happens.

Really can't see us beat Bayern this time. This is how far as we go. Hope Roma can win it somehow if we don't.

They were in a European Cup final against Liverpool at home in 84. Lost on penalties. Hope this lot have more balls about them.

If this is the reaction to Liverpool drawing Roma then imagine what this caf will be like if they win the whole thing. I may have to log off for my own sanity.

You forget this manager is the last manager to won them UCL ffs. This is not LVG.

For all the success your club has had, you really are pessimistic about them

He was also the one who lost the final against Chelsea. At home. He also got thrashed 5-2 the same season by Klopp in the german cup final.

Van Gaal had already left.

Don't be ridiculous.

I'm not. Did you hear the atmosphere at the Rome ground vs Barcelona? It's a completely different kettle of fish than going away to a plastic club like City or Chelsea. We need to go there with a healthy lead AND not be intimidated by the occasion. IDEALLY without giving them an a way goal in the first leg.

A bit disrespectful to Roma dont you think. They beat Barca remember.

They'll also be very bit as buoyed up after coming back against Barca.

People too quick to dismiss them and see Liverpool going through. The confidence they must have after that win...

Forgive me if I don't put any trust in your predictions of Real's failure... you're never right, you phony!

It is very naive to think Liverpool will go past Roma easily, many posters should really grow a brain up ffs  . Both ties are pretty even to be fair, there is no way to me to agree favourites. I would like a Roma-Bayern final with a Roma win of course ;).

This coming from a Real fan...wow.

The way Bayern officials, fans and German media spinned last years defeat to make it look like refs fecked you over, while you received a non existent penalty in the first game and scored offside goal to take the game to extra time in the second half was hilarious.

You also wanted a second yellow for Casemiro while Vidal got away with this after being on a yellow card.

I read somewhere that fans at Allianz were clapping every time Juventus scored on Wednesday. That alone tells you all you need to know about how this tie will end. Trees will burn again and Bayern will go out and everyone but them will be blamed.
