Thank you! Finally. I find it hilarious that dreams, one of the most abstract things are reduced to set organic fully formed worlds in this supposed 'masterpiece'. Added to that in this hypersexualized world there is literally no distraction in the form of sex or the dreamers desire.
In case you haven't seen it, watch the final cut. Explains everything logically and has the best possible ending.Blade Runner. Such a boring movie.

Airplane is shit. 90 minutes of Dad jokes.
The Fisher King - absolute bollocks I'm shocked I actually got to the end of it - one of the worst movies I've seen
The same for Moulin Rouge - people kept on about McGregors singing - it was as pants as the rest of it (Ewan McGreggor's overated imo)
Agree that Fargo was thoroughly overated
Sleepy Hollow - we lasted 45 minutes and the abysmal acting from the girl (whats her name Nina Ricci I think) actor was so irritating we left - the missus was dragging me out !
Dead Poets Society - I love some of Williams stuff but that no thanks
Yep the English Patient too
Face Off and Gone in 60 seconds - two Cage movies that should have ended after 60 secs- absolute shite
Naked Lunch - dire
The latter Alien movies - complete bunkum - as were the latter Jaws films although fking hilarious they were so poor
God when you think about it there are some diabolical crimes against celluloid about are'nt there ?
The second most laborious pile of wank I've ever sat through. Eraserhead was first.
Ok, here goes. Probably gonna get some stick for this but..
The good, the bad and the ugly...
I never met Lester.......Lester meet Stick....feck off you donkey....up there as one of the best films/westerns ever made.![]()
Pulp Fiction was a massive let down, perhaps considering how highly it's regarded but I just didn't think it was great. I thought Django Unchained was a pretty terrible film if I'm honest, though the hype for that one seemed to die down after the initial jizzfest.
Perhaps not a classic, but I see so many people regard Anchorman as one of the funniest films ever, and I literally do not get it. The humour must go right over my head.

Aliens. Loved the first one but the second is just like watching a shoot 'em up video game and yet it's almost more critically acclaimed.
Blade Runner. Such a boring movie.
I thnk Alien initially suffered in terms of critics response to it because so many of them were expecting something along the line of the cleaner, shall I say happier or lighter Star Wars, ET or Close Encounters of the Third Kind. I forget if it was Siskel or Ebert who initially did not like Alien but later would include it in his best pictures of all time list. It was also noteable as one of the first Sci-Fi movies to feature a strong female leading role.
Aliens got good reviews but to me it always seemed the reviewers just judged it as an action shoot em up, blow em up movie. Looking back at some reviews, they seem to mention the action, etc more than any reference to characters, plot, etc.
Agreed, that film is fecking shite....don't understand all the love it gets.

With Will Ferrell the humour most likely is far below your head not over it.
