The goal is ridiculous but even more if you consider how he had to run into position before jumping high. That little run is incredible
How randomWow. I hope the Glazers learned their lesson, never to sell the best players. Not that there will ever be another Ronaldo.
I reckon he would’ve had a World Cup with a proper international team around him. He is a difference maker in the big matches.
It was like a reverse high jump, without the pole. The goal is ridiculous but even more if you consider how he had to run into position before jumping high. That little run is incredible
Penaldo!
Personally I'm really reluctant to judge someone's character based on what he shows on the pitch because I think the nature and environment of top level professional football is a shithole for the most part and encourages bad characteristics. People in general tend to be products of their environment.Aye, plenty of players like that - recall Drogba being the same, prick on the pitch but by all accounts done a lot of good work off it. A lot of top players are obviously hyper-competitive and in an extreme environment they're sometimes maybe going to rub people up the wrong way.
Pick it fecking out. Second best overhead kick I've ever seen! Special!
Ibras?
Yeah! Ibra's was just outrageous!

Some Real fans on here wanted to swap him for Hazard...
The greatest European footballer ever.

But in a friendly, which is why I put Ronaldo’s higher.

Not bad for a 33 year old
I was in the pub in Aberdeen - unexpectedly full of Italians supporting Juve, and when that goal happened, the whole place erupted and everyone applauded. It was sensational.
Afterwards the two angry italian men near me spoke angry italian and I only picked out the word 'Chiellini'. I suspect they were pissed with Chellini for ballsing up Buffon's ball prior to the worldie.
Amazing how he's on the by-line setting up Vazquez, then refuses to let the situation fizzle out, runs into the box, soon as the cross is hit Ronaldo runs and adjusts back 5 yards and leaps for the overhead.
Sometimes you see crosses hit a defender and loop up or don't take much adjustment for overheads. What Ronaldo did was incredible, the determination to just make that happen.
