Is he injured? Looked like he was limping there?

He's becoming a parody of himself

His off-field baggage "Ronaldo show roadshow" is definitely more annoying when he's playing badly and can't back it up on the field.

The reporter should take him to court, surely you can't just do that to expensive equipment!? if we just crashed into cars because it was in our way we would get arrested.. he thinks he is above the law and snobbish attitude thinking he is better then anyone else because he is good at kicking a ball around.

Probably quite a few from FKs I would imagine, however, in past few seasons, both Bale/James takes them too...

Also, for both CL runs modric is definitely madrid's best player.... I guess Benzema would be up for debate, but Modric isn't.
I personally thought in 2014 Di Maria was their most important player to winning the CL that year.

He was unbelievably consistent playing in thay CM/hybrid role for them.

It was probably very close between him and Modric that year.

I didn't watch a lot of Madrid this year but Modric is the one player who makes Madrid click and without him they would be really struggling.

When Madrid replace Ronaldo they may end up being a better team without him.

It's hard to know until that happens though.

He's cracking up.

Ronaldo has been poor in this Euro as per the standard he has set earlier in the qualifiers and for Real last season. Personally I believe, his injury prior to the tournament and fatigue due to a hard, long season at Real are the reasons behind his poor performance so far. He is getting old gradually and for a Forward/Wide Forward who relies more on bursts of pace to get behind defenses it is getting really difficult for him to perform in a Tournament in summer after such a hard season with RM.

Is precisely why he needs to retire from the Portugal National Team. He needs to accept his body can no longer do the things it could at 21. Can his ego accept that though!?

Playing at such a high level for Real Madrid and a summer tournament is way too much when he is allegedly got chronic injury problems with his knee, ankles and whatever else we hear about when he's playing poorly?

I always think Ronaldo will never be "at peace" with himself, and will constantly be bitter/angry. Especially once he starts to decline more and for sure when he has to retire from football. He surrounds himself with "hangers-on" who are yes people because they want a slice of the cash cow pie he has become (supermodels, agents, even his own family). But deep down I think he's miserable and empty. It's true, money can't buy happiness.

And that's the difference between say Zlatan and Cristiano. Ibrahimovic is arrogant, yes, but only a fool would take anything he says too seriously. During the tournament, I’ve heard his former Ajax teammates Litmanen & Pasanen talk about him and both said he’s actually a really nice guy, that it’s more or less a show when he’s in public. CR seems to actually be pretty full of himself. Not that he doesn’t have the career to be proud of, but petulant child is exactly what he is. That was an entertaining clip though

He will retire when he feels he can't contribute much to the National team (may be after the next WC). He has declined surely but he is by a long margin their best player and Portugal needs him to qualify for the next WC. As the captain of the NT, he will play as long as his body supports him to play decently - Not Ballon D'or level performance.

I don't think he is bitter/angry. He has a son and he has done nice little things for his fans multiple times off the field. Surely, a very good human being. Not sure how you reached the conclusion he is miserable and empty.

That's actually the first positive thing Ronaldo has done since arriving in France. "Correio da Manhã" is a gutter journalism outlet, dispised by 99% of the portuguese population. Worse than "The Sun". His outburst has nothing to do with football but with the fact that "Correio da Manhã" print all kinds of bs and lies about him and his family (even about his young son). It's not the first time he goes against "Correio da Manhã". In his press conferences, he never answers their questions. That was actually a good maneuver for him to get the support of the portuguese people. Vast majority has been praising his reaction, since they hate the newspaper.

Then in that case the reporter is lucky he didn't get thrown in to the lake. Never ok to target families.

Anyone that treats journalists with the contempt that they deserve is my kind of man.

Yea, ADM was fantastic that year. Also agree that MAdrid would be a better and dangerous team when they sell ROnaldo.

Messi shining at the Copa, while Ronaldo is under peforming at the Euros - I think he's cracking. Stressful times.

It was a silly question from the journalist but didn't deserve that reaction at all.

If this tournament continues like it’s been so far for him, I wonder if he’s starting to consider international retirement. This season has been the first one with some signs of perhaps the amount of matches having an influence on the performances.

Anyone who thinks the opposite is just naive. It's pretty obvious people like him are really nice and use that side of their personality for the public because they think its fun. I think it's fun too. Another example would be Mourinho.

Lucky assist. Should count as shot off target.

Good assist but yet another atrocious performance. He needs to be taken off free kick duty. He's embarrassing.

Wouldn't be surprised if he hammers one in second half now!

The Portuguese team needs to get over its Cristiano complex. When he drops deep other players need to run on, like Nani did, rather than just hang about and wait until he gets forward again.
