While I don't think there is a greatest 'of all time' (and if there were a greatest the player might well come from the defence) but I'd say Ronaldo has as good a claim as anyone. When it comes to deciding between players of that level of ability it comes down to emotion more than anything.
Hate that we have to debate in this thread but oh well. I was not watching football when Pele or Maradona played. I caught the tail end of fat Ronaldo's career. So for me Cristiano is the GOAT.

Yes, he's the greatest player you have seen play the game.
I like Ronaldo and have a lot of respect for what he has achieved in his career, but this notion, pedalled by a very small minority, that he's the greatest player ever is just baffling. Is he really the best that this planet's only true global sport has to offer? If he is then it wouldn't be a great advertisement for the game.

I'd imagine, but where? I can't see him playing a reduced role at Real.
Very difficult to say, he'll be at Real for 3-4 years more I'd suspect and keep performing at a top level. For his last leg perhaps back to Lisbon, or maybe a call from Sir Alex.... I will never lose that hope till he doesn't retire.
