A trip to Russia to play on an artificial pitch is worth possibly dropping a couple points imo. Especially with Liverpool at the weekend.

Park Scholes Gibson Nani
Owen Macheda
I'd still fancy that team to win tbh.

its an away game .. really wouldnt be surprised to see fergie go with a 4-5-1 and see if we can nick the goal
I wouldn't.
Ryan Giggs, Wayne Rooney, Patrice Evra, Ji-sung Park and Darren Fletcher will all miss United's Champions League trip to CSKA Moscow.
The five players - many of them probable starters in Sir Alex Ferguson's strongest line-up - were absent from the squad flying out of Manchester on Monday afternoon.
Sir Alex confirmed Giggs' likely absence on Saturday, after the veteran midfielder had shone once again in the Reds' 2-1 win over Bolton Wanderers.
"Ryan Giggs has got a knock and is a doubt," Sir Alex told MUTV, post-match. "We've got to try and get Wayne Rooney ready for Wednesday but we'll see him on Sunday (against Liverpool). We'll have to look at Patrice Evra, he may be a doubt."
Other probables, possibles and absentees mentioned by the United manager were Dimitar Berbatov - "I think he will be all right" - and Nemanja Vidic - "I'm hopeful Vidic will be all right, but he'll certainly be ready for the Liverpool game." Both have flown to Russia.
The full United squad to face CSKA Moscow on 21 October is as follows: Van der Sar, Kuszczak, Foster; Neville, Rafael, O'Shea, Ferdinand, Vidic, Brown, J Evans, Fabio; Valencia, Scholes, Carrick, C Evans, Anderson, Nani; Owen, Berbatov, Macheda, Welbeck

I think it would be very unfair to start him upfront alone. If Berba needs a rest, Kiko can partner Owen.Am I the only one completely unsure about the idea of playing Owen up front on his own. We looked quite ineffective with him on his own for large parts of the Wolves match at home, and this is the champions league in Moscow. I always thought he never looked great on his own even in his peak as he always needed some sort of a presence next. Rather see one of Macheda or Welbeck or stick to Berbatov play as well.
Don't know if this is true, but I just talked to a friend of mine, and he told me that several games in Russia were played in snow over the weekend. Can someone tell me if this is true please?
