David Moyes | West Ham in talks with him for managerial job

Exactly, he had a much better center forward and much more money at United. What did he ho?
But not even Fergie would have won with the squad Moyes inherited; yet had Moyes just had a top-class centre forward at Everton....

He's a complete tosser. Moyes bashing never gets old. Can't believe that he still has some defenders on here

Be assed with his smugness tonight if we don't beat them. Barkley winner would be the most satisfying.

Few of my Mackem mates are already getting hacked off with him for his constant references to Everton. I made a point of reminding them that they laughed it up when he was telling our defenders to watch videos of Jagielka, and when he sacked SAF's coaches to bring his band of mediocrity in.

F*ck 'em, I hope he takes them down anyway, never forgiven them for the way they celebrated City's title win in 2012. Self proclaimed "high point of their season", pathetic.

He does realise the only reason they signed Lukaku was because he himself gave away 27m for Fellaini?

Surely he didnt say that.

That was my initial reaction, thats mad even for Moyes i thought. But no he said it, though to be fair he actually said ''close'' to winning it.

“We had a great team at Everton but we were missing a centre-forward,” Moyes said. “I might be exaggerating, but I think with that we would have been close to winning the Premier League, we were that good.

Maybe he is cut from the same cloth as Ferguson after all.

I genuinely wonder if he is all ok up there. The United stint messed him up real bad. Its gotten to the point where he is becoming a joke, if he already isn't one. Wonder what the 'pundits' and those among us who kept hankering for him to be given more time, have to say now. Bet its something along the lines of, "he is hardworking", "it was the players who let him down" and "it was all Woodwards fault anyway".

The actual quotes aren't as bad as the headline makes it out to be. Seems everything on the internet is click baity at the moment. His actual statements are still pretty out there though. I don't think Everton were ever seriously considered title challengers and Liverpool aren't exactly the best team to compare yourself to when estimating your chances of winning the premier league. He was definitely handicapped in terms of spending power at Everton but could have made his point much better.

What's the bleeding point of saying "I might be exaggerating but..."?!? It invalidates one's entire sodding point, for Christ's sake. I might be exaggerating but I'm Emperor of Neptune.

He ain't:lol:

Honestly, I'd rather he stay in a delusional state - think he would have a nervous breakdown if he actually admitted to himself any mistakes he made. It's just the way he rolls.:)

Yes. There is a real unprofessional element to his quotes now. As though he has lost the plot and is at the point of desperation to show he is a good manager.

I wouldn't go as far as unprofessional, I just think he's extremely defensive and tries to exaggerate his accomplishments a bit because of the hammering he has taken in regular and social media since he left Everton. It's becoming a football trope almost, Delusional Moyes.

It's how media works these days. Flash over substance. I agree though it's super cringeworthy.

To be fair he works for Sunderland now, so its pretty similar to arriving to a funeral.

I don't think he's got what it takes to keep this shower of shite in the Premier league, god knows how Big Sam did.

Erm, because he's a better manager perhaps?
