David Moyes | West Ham in talks with him for managerial job

Uno-dos-tres-Moyes getting found out again. It is always the players fault, it was the players at United, it was the players at Sociedad and now it is the players at Sunderland. It seems like the scruffy clown thinks he has a god given right to manage a squad on Barcelona or Bayern level. But truth is he would probably be found out then as well, and continue to blame the players.

"This Messi lad is simply not up to much I am telling you."
They tell me he's a good player

I've read two mainstream newspaper articles today in which the journalists actually stated that Sunderland's poor performances & results are "not David Moyes' fault". Sheesh...

It will say a lot about United (and their lack of standards) whenever fecking Sunderland sack him sooner than we did.

He should have gone to Villa, though looking at him now he'd probably have sunk them too.

If he had, they'd be Aston Council House by now.

Oh yeah, his little press buddies taking up for him. The fans will go nuts hearing that (they'll know how we felt!)

I have a funny feeling that all those years the press pulled the wool over our eyes trying to get their friend David a huge appointment - which they did. He did fairly ok at Everton, but you have to wonder at the constant narrative that he makes things work on a small budget, and inferring that if he could work with a larger budget and such, he could do so much better etc etc. They campaigned on his behalf for years, and we fell for it.

Now he's getting found out, no one going to buy that drivel about it not being 'his fault'.

What on earth is the deal with your tagline?

It's because my username comes from a Public Enemy lyric...

'Once again, sacked is the incredible
Quite terrible, not credible
Moyes! Public Enemy Number One...'

Bring the Moyes!

Haha, Genius from you two!

Being totally honest, when I picked this username, I did actually imagine having as my tagline the next lyrics - "The uncannable D!", as I share a birthday with Chuck D, and 'Fear of A Black Planet' was the first album I ever bought with my own money (on cassette when I was 12 :))

It should have been!

Moyes is probably the only manager in the history of football where, if he was given a 18 year old Lionel Messi the lad would of ended up being a plumber by his early 20s convinced he was shit on a stick and never cut out for the game.

I have no idea what any of this means.

He's like the baddies in Scooby Doo:

"I would have gotten away with it, if it hadn't been for you pesky players!"

Funnily enough that's what the Sunderland players now say when they look at Moyes' tactics board.

Unlucky mate. ;)

That is sad when you think about it. But i don't think it was because of a lack of standards, but more down to all the PR guff on Moyes arrival, that fecking cringeworthy banner, the 6 year contract, waffling on about giving managers time etc etc. We painted ourselves into a corner.

Instead of doing what was right and sacking him in November we let him run our season into the ground for fear of how the club would be perceived by sacking him so soon. But then at that time strange decisions were being made at the club, if United were thinking about what was best purely from a footballing point of view then Moyes would have never been even considered for the job never mind hired in the first place.

It is true to an extent... Its not like Sunderland were setting the world alight before Moyes. They have been relegation candidates for nearly 5 seasons at the start, only to be rescued in the last few months by a managerial replacement.

Have they ever looked comfortable at the start of the season???... It would suggest that problems lie elsewhere as well....

They aren't completely wrong tbh. They were saying on MOTD that Sunderland hasn't won a game in August and September since 2012? It seems to be more than just the managers' fault frankly if that's true.

Allardyce left them in a great position for this season; they were very good in the second half of last season and had a great platform on which to build on. Then Moyes comes in, brings in dross like Djilobodji and Love and completely undoes all of the good work. He then has the gall to complain about the state of the squad and how long it'll take to fix them when he created most of the personnel problems himself. He's a complete charlatan.

That's Sunderland in a nutshell. A manager has a good end to the season and it seems like the team would build on but they get so poor that they sack the manager in Jan and get another manager who has a good last 2 months and ends up keeping them up only to go through the same cycle. Allardyce would probably have struggled going by Sunderland's trend.

With Moyes the squad is never good enough. Because is it was when things inevitably go tits up he would only have himself to blame. And as we know because he keeps telling us it's never Dave's fault.

They are a match made in hell. WBA and Pulis are fecking Barca in their prime compared to this shower of shit.

In a different age my friend, in a different age.

You're 40-45ish aren't you?

Public Enemy's heyday would have been in your teens. You missed out my friend.

Moyes' player blaming antics must surely kill his career soon. Might have got away with it 10-15 years ago as a motivational tool, but not in today's age of players who live in a sycophantic praise bubble.

Its as if, they will only start playing when they know the PL survival is at stake.

Their transfer business has been crap.

Mind you, I thought Stoke had a decent summer, and they definitely look worse than last year at the moment.

And yet I wonder if any of those other managers had the specific words, "not X's fault" printed about them...?

Despite the revision, Allardyce left them in good form, and he also managed to do good business with them in the January window.

Rather than giving excuses, he got on with it and pulled out some great signings and results.

I mean, just take a look at their last 6 results before Moyes took over...

Watford 2 - 2 Sun
Sun 3 - 0 Everton
Sun 3 - 2 Chelsea
Stoke 1 - 1 Sun
Arsenal 0 - 0 Sun
Norwich 0 - 3 Sun

What we're seeing now is the 'Moyesian Revision' - that period of time where Moyes and his media cronies try to pull the wool over earnest supporters eyes and ears with an endless run of excuses and reasons why this isn't Moyes' fault.

This goes on until he gets sacked and then the fog clears and supporters see clearly.

I watched their game at the weekend and the football was terrible. Hoofball to a tiny Defoe, no passing game at all. Both their goals came from mistakes. To be honest sending Janujaz there was a mistake. He had some good moments but even Messi couldn't perform in a team that plays like that.

Sadly that's how he played with united as well
