Shame. I always liked Moyes.
I don't like him. Pretends to be this humble hard working guy but is a smug cnut that threw everyone even his predecessor, under the bus.
If stats could deceive you
Will put some money on them getting relegated. He isn't a good and is a outdated manager, ...
Whenever I see the name David Moyes I want to throw up. A complete nightmare. Poor Sunderland supporters. Relegation or a sacked before Christmas. Take a pick...
Mostly agreed. Moyes is well-suited for a club like Sunderland, but the position they're in is going to ask a hell of a lot of him. It's going to take him at his best to avoid relegation and work up the table in the coming seasons. I think he'll do it, but it's not going to be pretty. He won't repeat his Everton success there. He's slipped and the league has gotten tougher down to the bottom.I actually think he is fine when managing clubs who are aiming to make mid-table.
Obviously (as has been proved), he isn't cut out to take a club right to the top, but mid-table is his level.
Given the standard in the Premier League right now, I wouldn't be too quick to dismiss outdated British management as a positive in this case. Moyes could in time manage to achieve a standard similar to Pulis, which will keep Sunderland safe and happy until they feel they are secure enough to do better, like happened with Pulis and Stoke. He isn't a good and is a outdated manager, who was never succesful outside his comfort zone at Everton. Brought Sociedad near relegation and Sunderland is worse in relation to the other teams in the PL.
Seem to be very happy about it on their forum.

Jesus 4 year contract!! Another big pay day for Moysie in the next year or two then.
Hope he gets relegated (doubt he will though), last chance for him this job if he gets sacked he'll finally be on the managerial scrapheap along with Curbishley, Graham, Roeder, O'Leary etc.
Poor bastards don't know what they're in for next season. Before long they'll be sick of the sight of the miserable fecker.
Can you imagine the reaction to - we need to make it difficult for Newcastle (if they play each other)![]()
Do Sunderland have the Scouting budget like we did which allowed him to attend several matches across Europe. He probably thought we hired him as a Scout to discover hidden gems like Kroos and Fabregas!

Make it hard for Newcastle, told his 2 captains to emulate Jagelska Liverpool is favorite (coming to Old Traffors), SAF would struggle with his team, aspired to City level are now considered genuine, decent thing to say for United manager?Glad to see the fella back in the PL. He failed bigtime at utd but I think he will do a good job at Sunderland if hes given a proper chance.
Its time for him to put his doubters to rest and show what he did with Everton wasn't a fluke.
Seems like a decent genuine guy too. Doesnt deserve the flak he gets from you lot.

It was gently pointed out that his team were 21 points worse off than at this stage last season. "Well, I was at Everton so I wasn't 21 points worse off," he replied. "I was at Everton."
Deserves every bit of it the smug prick. Tried to throw everyone under the bus to deflect blame from himself, disrespected the players, the fans and even Ferguson. The only man to ever give him a chance at a top club.
This quote sums up his mentality. Genuine decent guy my arse.
Can Sunderland provide the top secret bunkers, that is the big question this summer. He has hit the ground running. The Teeside Apple store is already out of iPads. Big things coming.
