David Moyes | West Ham in talks with him for managerial job

Gordon Ramsay's even scruffier cousin cost them two points. What a totally pointless and spineless manager.

You play a side that thrives with possession and putting the opponent under pressure, take of your striker and invite more pressure, real clever there Moyesy.
He just undone any good they done up until the Defoe sub.

Clueless muppet.

As on so many other occasions, Moyes' negativity has cost his side today. Sunderland had the wind in their sails when they equalised. Then Moyes took off Sunderland's main threat and let City have the initiative. As always, Moyes was so scared of losing that he made defensive decisions that let City come forward. City accepted the invitation and Sunderland ended up losing. Standard Moyes. Won't be shocked to see Sunderland bottom of the table by Christmas.

Fecking coward.
Didn't need to get that defensive at that moment. Invited City to go at them by that last substitution.
With Defoe on the pitch they even could've won the match.

Defoe for McNair is the epitome of the Moyes pussy-ass substitution.

Everyone knew it would backfire the minute it happened.

Reminds me of the time we were 1-0 up at home to Southampton. He brought Smalling on for Rooney with five minutes left and they equalised from a corner!

Sunderland and Moyes are perfect for each other. Miserable negative shite.

Reckon he could manage to be the worst PL Sunderland manager ever? Who currently holds that record?

Please don't remind me of that. How in Heaven's name did we go for Moyes over Mourinho..?

I think it was a fair decision.

If he did the same as a United manager it would be kind of pathetic but they were away at City with a very shit Sunderland squad. Maybe he thought Mcnair would control the game a bit more while Defoe was just an extra man out there.

2-1 because of an Own Goal. If I were a sunderland fan I'd be excited for the season .

Probably mick McCarthy statistically

Agreed with this

The absolute state of this thread if Moyes' Sunderland beats us.

And wouldn't it be typical of the Scottish Shar Pei to do it as well.

The reactions in here are pathetic. Are you just going to jump on every little thing? McNair could do nothing about that. It was an unfortunate own goal.

He is the Sunderland manager. Judge him on the expectations of Sunderland and relative to the quality he has now. I thought they did well and soaked up the pressure when I expected them to buckle 5 mins in. They also had a few openings where with a bit more quality could have done more.

He'll do a good job there.

It was immediately obvious what would happen. Go look at the match thread, so many people called it.

Not the OG, obviously, but that they'd end up conceding and have nobody to aim for to get another goal.

Some people just can't let it go. Funny because people get annoyed at Moyes for not letting things go yet the same people are still raging over a guy they want nothing to with anymore. Your classic internet warriors.

You're asking the Caf to be logical about Moyes?

People are not mad because it is Moyes. People are saying that sub is classic Moyes because he has shown himself to be so scared of losing that his subs are negative many times, which end up backfiring most times.

Many called it as soon as he made that sub. Your comment is the only illogical one in this thread. Did you even read what the posters are talking about or decided to act like the 'internet warrior' yourself?

I thought he was going to a back 5 when he brought McNair on. It was the obvious thing to do with City going 2 up top. Instead it stayed 4 atb. No surprise that they got overloaded and McNair scored the own goal because he had to run back instead of staying goalside.

Yeah it's ironic because Moyes just can't let it go and some people who dislike him can't let it go and can't accept that he can't let it go, and then we have the folk who rush to every Moyes thread to tell others to let it go but again ironically they themselves can't accept the fact that others can't let it go and can't let that go either.

So basically all as bad as each other.

Nah Mcnair tend to commit these sort of brainfarts on a regular basis

I can't help it, but i fecking hate this guy! With a great passion! And I have hated the useless c*nt ever since his first press-conference as a United manager.. No clue, no vision nor any goals for the club/team (or himself for that matter). And I knew from that moment that he was walking disaster waiting to happen.. He disrespected our greatest hero of all time and disbanded a great backroom staff, to name a few of his destuctive stint here.

I'm maybe small, childish, passiv agressiv or something like that. But I can't help to not want to hit something everytime I see this idiot of a man.. I hope he fails epic for the rest of his life. And I hope and pray to god that Zaha fecking ripped that shit (if the rumers in the press was any true). Yes I have had a couple of drinks writing this. But my god this guy provokes the hell out of me

He said during the week that Januzaj needs to stop blaming others for failure....

David Moyes said that.... Let that sink in
He has said what a lot of the fans have said here, it has sunk in.. He reads the caf?

That was one of the Moyesiest things Moyes has ever done. Take off Defoe and put in a CB in the 80th minute to hold a 1-1 lead was the perfect example of his cowardly tactics. Honestly gave me flash backs when the same thing happened about 3 years ago at OT.

I'm Sure Sunderland would have taken an away point vs city. Nothing cowardly

We have to let it go, knocking moyes for every mistake is not right.
Think mcnair reacted slowly and his postioning was very poor. This is why I think he won't make it as a top team player.

The same David Moyes, who blamed everyone for his shortcomings?

Seriously?

Januzaj is clearly a fecking idiot....But for Moyes to say that?! The lack of self awareness on his part is astounding

Come on...
He is his manager

He is managing him. He isn't going to change how he treats his players just because he felt butt hurt and blamed others for fecking up at Utd

Have you seen his quotes?

He went to town on Kenwright, claiming he only ever gave 5 million to spend on a transfer budget..That's not a lie, but the truth. He said that

He blames everyone, except himself, for his failings here and in Spain, yet he publicly says Januzaj needs to stop blaming everyone else for his failings

Whether he's right or wrong about Januzaj (I think he's shit tbh) It's laughable he can say that

Get over your hate

I still have slight hope for Adnan, and I think Moyes can get it out of him. If that means kicking him up the arse with comments that he made, so be it

Do you think he is going to go into the Sunderland dressing room and say "listen lads, I've been shite my last two jobs, it's all my fault so I'm not going to critisise any of you"

Bloody Moyes...he's the bane of my existence. For example, yesterday I was baking a cake and, when I opened the oven, Moyes was inside. He started warbling on about "getting unexpected results" and that's all very well but I was expecting banana cake for tea and not roast manager. In this way and in many others, David Moyes has ruined my life, my neighbours' lives, relatives' and pet cat's. I'm not bitter but it's no exaggeration to say that he's the worst human being in the history of the universe, and I hope his pantaloons combust.
