David Moyes | West Ham in talks with him for managerial job

I would like for him to succeed at Sunderland and get his reputation back; however, it doesn't look easy looking at Sunderland's signings. Don't like the fact that they haven't signed another striker: which would mean Januzaj in that role whenever Defoe is out, when I would have liked Adnan to spend a season playing regular football in any of the three positions behind the striker.

I've heard that russian jews were supposed to be some of the best attackers in the world.

Sorry.. I guess it's an inside joke but I thought it wasn't. LVG would say "youth" as "jews" or "juice" so I say jews academy or juice academy sometimes. Didn't know it wasn't a popular joke!

Oh I thought it was an auto correct

Never heard this one before.

Given the way he's bitched and moaned and blamed others for his failure at United, I hope he gets them relegated.

He's as charismatic and inspirational as a potato. If that dullard can make millions as a football manager there's hope for anyone.

He is a complete joke, buying all the old shite from Everton. What on earth is he doing?

They need a keeper too. Not sure who, Schwarzer perhaps but he is 38.

Some harsh comments in here, Sunderlands failures in this transfer window have nothing to do with Moyes. It's not his fault he just identifies the players, it's the clubs job to sign them obviously his chairman has let him down on this occasion.

Also them waiting until very late in the window and scrambling around on deadline day to do the bulk of their business and missing out on players as a result is nothing to do with him either, yes he did it every year at Everton and in his one year at United but it's just a total coincidence not his fault.

Why didnt anyone pick Berbatov up this summer? Berba and Defoe up front would have been a nice bit of nostalgia.

This is THE season for them to be relegated with Moyes at their helm, problem is that they might get rid of him midseason and save themselves.....

(In response to the wisecrack about Anichibe the defender)

Even his caps for Nigeria are a joke (11 caps since 08 with 1 goal)

 "And I thought the Love deal would be the worst signing this club could make this season

Jesus wept"

I think the decision makers of MUFC were stoned and drunk when they made the decision.
Some have said that Fergie chose Moyes on purpose to make himself look good (ie. "aww, look at what a great job I did; now look at the new manager, he can't do what I did. I'm so great."). I don't buy this theory though. I think Fergie genuinely believed that a mid table manager, who had never won a trophy before, with an average CV, could manage one of the biggest clubs in the World.
I think there was a lot of naivety on Sir Alex's part.

He failed to realise just how special he was as a manager and thought any Jim and Jack with enough backing could replicate what he did.

Terrible decision that this was for us.

Moyes is so inept that whenever the going gets tough he retreats into his Everton comfort zone.
He's already signed Pienaar, he tried to sign Naismith from Norwich, and now Anichebe.
We all know how we ended up with Fellaini.
Every Everton player from about 10 years ago must be expecting a call.

To be fair, Sunderland have always bought old players, and rejects from other teams. Nothing surprising here really. They bought Brown, O'Shea and have been buying rejects for a long time now: Its basically ingrained in their club's philosophy

I can't even say "bringing Anichebe in is better than signing no one". He's that useless.
