David Moyes | West Ham in talks with him for managerial job

You guys are incredible. Dave has already said why he is losing, he needs better players, give him better players.

"Who cares about Mourinho and Klopp when we just got David Moyes?"

What do you mean "if this is true".... it's in Fergies book, how he'd asked Pep to keep him informed of his next role, how Ancelotti wasn't free, Klopp, Jose, LVG, etc.
Seems to me that SAF has done some rewriting of history in his new book, to cover his own ass and legacy.

Mentioning Louis van Gaal as a possible Ferguson replacement in 2013 is case in point.

How do you guys know that isn't true? He wasn't going to write that Moyesy was the 974th choice on their list, in his first book, for obvious reasons.

The fact that Moyes spouted shit about even SAF not being able to win with the squad he had (which he did the year previous) and the "lack of support" he felt from SAF just pre-sacking made SAF just think feck it and write it as it was.

Leather-face has a strange abillity to alienate everyone. Just wish he would disappear down in one of those transfer bunkers he builds and throw away the key.

The Hull, Swansea, & Watford games are as easy as he will get at this level. I am not sure there are many easier than those.
Yeah I find it incredible how people are always calling every game as 'tricky and tough', you have to win your points somewhere and it's difficult to imagine having it easier than that.

The fact he told Moyes not to renew his contract with Everton in November 2012 (if I remember correctly), before every top manager in the world supposedly turned him down. And I don't think the board would have given Moyes a 6 year contract if he was 974th choice, in that case they'd want to swap him out after a couple of years. So it seems likely that they received a strong recommendation from SAF.

He had asked him to become his assistant several years before too, around the time of his Preston work. I think Moyes was around the top of the list if not first choice, we wanted someone long term and none of the elite managers were likely to stay here for 10 years or so.

Whatever happened and wherever he was on this supposed list (I reckon 1st)

The man has set us back BIG time, he is the reason we are in the mess we are now and I hope he fails so badly at Sunderland that no club touches him again after.

Of the many weaknesses and faults that Moyes has I think his absolute worst trait is just how fecking miserable he is.

I don't know how he could inspire anyone, he's such a dour negative man he brings everyone down with him. Can't be good for the atmosphere around the club when Moyes is calling the players shit and saying they'll be in a relegation fight two games in.

Agreed, I mean even an idiot could predict what sort of comment that would have on confidence and moral. The guy seems to have no sense at all when talking to the media - keep it simple, long term Dave, keep it simple....

Genuinely pi$$es me off that he's keeping some other manager out of a PL job.
I genuinely think Sunderland would have been better off running a competition among their supporters and picking the most passionate as manager.... age group 6 - 99!
The man is depression wrapped loosely in grey flesh. Surely this will be the last the PL will see of him once Sunderland take their unambitious, delusional heads out of their ar$es and sack this absolute fool of a man.
David Moyes is a millionaire thanks to football management.... imagine that. We should all get a proportion of his earnings as an apology for crimes against the game and he should be banished to a deserted island where he can build coconut friends and whine at them about how he never got the time/money/players/support/boards backing blah blah blah....

To think this guy had the cheek to say he was waiting for a Champions League when he was out work for so long after we sacked him.

I wish some cheeky reporter would throw that quote in his face during a presser or interview. This idiot has gotten away with spouting absolute garbage for too long.

He'll have to survive for another 8 league games for that to happen:

H Arsenal
A Bournemouth
H Hull
A Liverpool
H Leicester
A Swansea
H Chelsea
H Watford

I can't see where he is going to any points from.

All i can see at best is a score draw with Hull, if Hull have a bad day.
Everyone else there will thump them.

If they get three points at Hull that will be 6 points won because they expected -3. Or something.

Well I don't understand what is shameful about this thread. Moyes evokes very strong emotions among many United supporters. And this thread is just a reflection of that. Does it get personal and vile at times? Sure it does. But Moyes himself has been guilty of droning on about us several times. If you do find this thread shameful for whatever reason, I was only making the most reasonable suggestion. Sorry if it offended you.

He's got to only have a couple of weeks left, surely? Really, really embarrassing stuff.
