David Moyes | West Ham in talks with him for managerial job

I quite like what he's done with this Sunderland side. Would be interesting to see how he'd do with a big club. Considering the paucity of British managers around, I reckon we could do worse than to have him succeed Mourinho when the latter retires.

Sarcasm?

Ah beautiful! I was having quite a bad day but Swansea have definitely cheered me up.

I don't care if it's unreasonable; I can't stand that clown.

I'm afraid I'm the same although I do sometimes feel guilty about it. But I'd rather love him and Sunderland to be relegated. Can never forgive that team for cheering when we lost league in that last few minutes......

My sentiments entirely!

Pickford out for two months. Watmore out for the season. Djilobodji, Kone, Ndong and Khazri all leaving for AFCON. Players like Rodwell, Kirchhoff, Pienaar and Cattermole also injured. He is going down unless they buy big in January.

We should look to offload some more dross. Fellaini, Depay and some more youth products that never will make it here.

Credit where it due for stripping L'pool. For rare occasion, his smug is bearable. Nice dig at Klopp or is it his own delusion?

Yes that's right David - being a British manager has really prevented you from getting praised by the media throughout your career... :wenger:

But good job against Liverpool though :)

I like his way of playing but he needs time to create his team and thats exactly what top teams doesn't have.
I liked how they played against us at OT at times and even today against Liverpool they were quite good in parts.

He isn't a top 4 manager but definitely top 10 and if he is given time with some financial backing, he would definitely do very well .
West ham, Everton , Stoke all would be good fit for him.

He's right, the press are always talking up all those bloody German managers over here, taking our jobs, eating our sandwiches. He almost signed Gareth Bale once you know.

He literally got a job several pay grades above his ability for the sole reason of being British. Would a German manager whose most impressive achievement was keeping FC Koln in the top half of the Bundesliga for a decade be given the Manchester United job? Would he feck!

Moyes, Dyche and Allardyce (Allardici) have a real persecution complex about the way British managers are treated. Moyes would get credit for getting results and his team playing well whatever his nationality.

That draw wasn't even of his doing, Pool's defense all decided to take a rain check and gifted them two penos alongside a horde of chances. Credit :wenger:

Let's not be so harsh. Remember his L'pool being favorite at OT game where we conceded defeat before game and set his team according and ironically gifted L'pool and Gerrard all those penalties? This is much better than he did back there, so not unfair to give him credit for at least trying and get result today.

Every single thing he does makes me cringe. So smug after a draw at home. Always the victim. I can't believe he ever was our manager. Was he like this when he was at Everton or did getting the United job make him think he's something he's very clearly not?

My memory might not be great but I thought he was respectable at Everton. Certainly his results were for the most part.

Unfortunately the United job broke him

Moyes said. “I thought we did well today. We got at Liverpool, put them under pressure, pressed them. Maybe if I was a German manager you might praise that. If I’d been German you might praise me for doing something different.”

what a f*cking bellend

Yes, I don't agree with everything he says, or even the majority, but his career was broken by his time at Manchester United. I think most people would be troubled by that, and their responses to questions would reflect their regret.

Nah he is shit.

Just noticed your post after another poster quoted yours. I can't agree with your view. If anything today Sunderland has little benefit from 2 games in 3 days fixture, as L'pool just came off a big game with City where they had to throw everything. Sunderland got spanked by Burnley. Credit where it's due with Moyes didn't give up, but that's it. A L'pool in better shape and thing could have gone very differently. This Sunderland team is still favorite to go down

Personally i always thought he was a smug prick. I didn't like him for years before he got the United job going back to his early days at Everton.

This and this, the complete lack of awareness he has for the opportunites he has received and the continued favourable coverage he gets from the press is unreal.

Sitting there smugly proclaiming he should be getting more praise while managing a club in the relegation zone that has lost 13 games this season and is on course for a 26 point season and relegation is mind boggling.
