David Moyes | West Ham in talks with him for managerial job

"We had initial discussions about how we move forward. I wouldn't say it was an uplifting kind of meeting, but we will meet again in a few weeks. Ellis and the board want me to stay."

Always with the positive spin

I wonder what the first thing he'll say at the start of pre-season.

A grimace, and the sobering battlecry a relegation battle lies ahead

He must really regret leaving Everton

He's went from getting the biggest job in football to managing sunderland in the championship

Should the guy who took them down with a whimper really be saying he's staying next season and making demands? There's ways to go down, if Hull/Palace/Swansea go down, the fans can least say they did put up a fight and that their manager should stay (I know Silva will leave regardless) but Sunderland have amassed 21 points ffs and haven't scored in a long time

So c'mon feel the Moyes
Play like Fergies boys
We'll go wild, wild, wild

Absolute classic altogether.

There's absolutely no chance he'll bring Sunderland back up. If they did make the playoffs can you imagine a Moyes led team coming out on top in a knockout situation like that?

They'll finish mid-table anyway. Potentially worse.

'David Moyes' should be at the end of the thread title. Being David Moyes is rock bottom. No greater depths of misery can be reached.

Maybe that's what hell is. You get relegated to a place where you are David Moyes. Everyone around you is David Moyes. It's an eternal battle to shift the blame for things on to the other Moyes.

Sneijder!

The juxtaposition of Moyes plus United tie and silverware looks so strange - like the Barry Chuckle / Jay-Z photo from ringside last week. In olden times, they would have reacted to it like a comet, heralding the end of days.

That picture was fake incase you didn't already know lol

I've tried to understand but why the feck does he keep referring to himself in the 3rd person..
He's hoping that people will believe there's another David Moyes out there, one who's more successful than this version. In effect, he's the PR spokesman for himself.

''You've had so much success in your career.''

Have only just seen this gem of a quote from Moyesy after we won the Charity Shield:

I class that as another piece of silverware for Sir Alex. It was his team that won the league by 13-15 points so it's his team. The ones going forward will be down to me.

He honestly believed he was going to clean up the prem / Champions League etc :lol::lol:

Apparently it's the hypocritical fans' fault:
David Moyes said:
“When I look back on it I was very honest, forthright, told people what I thought. I came to a part of the country where, I was led to believe, that was the way people wanted speaking to."

Malkovich, Malkovich?

At least back then he wasnt talking about himself in the third person.

The Januzaj reference is pretty harsh; they were lucky to get him. It's not our fault they have such a shite team and manager.
Maybe harsh, but their fans have complained all season about his bad attitude and lack of effort. Can understand them being disappointed given their current situation.

Anyway, I was more laughing at them trying to get that infamous banner:lol:

I'm not so sure.

They should just borrow the big projectors that were used during the protests in Romania recently. They can then just cover the Stadium of Light with anti-Moyes propaganda.
