There is just no point selling him this summer, we got to bed in our new signings. Just tell DDG if he wants to leave, you can leave next summer. By then our new signings would have settled, our squad is settled, and we can sign a new keeper next summer, who can come into the squad that is settled, and the gamble is not so severe. This summer, we are rebuilding the backbone of the team, and this backbone needs to establish itself this season. Next summer is when I feel a new keeper will be needed, just because we already have signed 4 players this year, and adding a new keeper with a new backbone is asking for too many players to settle

Though i agree with wanting de gea to stay one more season; the problem is if they meet our quota then that is alot of money to reject. After watching how casillas broke down and the complete lack of respect from madrid, im just shocked he wants to go there, get booed by fans, constant pressure from relentless media and political situations, its a complete circus. He wont earn more money there, he's an atletico boy, Barca have the better side, both now and longterm as bale is not going to make up for enevitable drops in ronaldo's productivity so its not like he's guaranteed trophies there. and united are a team thoroughly on the up.

Barcelona is not a bad place to live, besides Shakira's always going to be on tour plenty of time as she's a world class star as opposed to Edurne who's only known in Spain and between United fans. She's also the primary reason why he's moving back to Spain IMO, otherwise he'd not have been so intent on that Madrid move.
Aye, he'll get to play in his home country and be back with his fiance but he's already left Atletico to go to England in a fully aware decision. It was a bit silly if after mere 4 years he wants to be back in Spain because he can't keep living without his girlfriend. Given how much we have strengthened and it is clear our intention is to get back to the very top, and we don't really have competition of Barcelona who are far superior domestically, we're probably as likely as Real Madrid to endure success in the coming years - all while respecting him and singing his name loudly as opposed to throwing him out the door the minute he becomes not good enough for extended period.

Spot on mate, he should ask Ronaldo how much he's won there since he left United. With his Mrs and family living there it is understandable he wants to go it's just a strange one considering most would think the fact he's an Atletico boy would stop him joining Real.
