“@LaurensJulien: To sum up Hazard atm:#mcfc leading, #mufc just behind, #thfc (only with CL), not keen on #cfc, too expensive for #afc, not interested in #lfc”

And Yes it's twitter, but you'll be reading the same stuff in his columns in the next 24hrs

Baring in mind I know next to nothing about either player if we did just so happen sign both Hazard and Kagawa how would we most likely line up next season?

Valencia--Carrick--Kagawa--Hazard
---------------Rooney
-----------------Welbeck

or

Valencia--Carrick--Scholes--Hazard
---------------Kagawa
-----------------Rooney

or

Valencia--Carrick--Scholes--Kagawa
---------------Hazard
-----------------Rooney

I've genuinly got no clue where either of these players play so some help would be appreciated :)

What a fecking gimp, as if he'd know that shit.

The middle one, although they could switch so suppose it could be the third as well.

Definitely not the first.

Good job the press know sod all usually haha.

Reckon he'll go City tbh because they need width desperately in their side, it's pretty much non existent without the fullbacks bombing forward. Hazard would fit in with their style of play as well because he'd be comfortable rotating positions and cutting inside.

If we get Kagawa I wouldn't be bothered if they got Hazard. We'll develop Kagawa into an amazing player.

What nonsensical negativity exists in this thread ;)

Keep the Faith.

Kagawa + Hazard + Martinez = The Commencement of the Caf Cumfest.

He only wOrks for Le Parisien, info sport+ part of Canal+ rebranding and RTL.

3 of the biggest media outlets in France. In continental Europe clubs work with the media in a big way when it comes to transfers.

You have PSG and Real submitting transfer wishlists etc. his contacts list would be second to none in comparison to most journos.

We aren't famous for bidding wars either.

I'd rather be pessimistic and it happen than optimistic and it not

Close this thread and save us the disappointment. He's going to City. Hopefully they don't get Kagawa too.

Or we could alternatively just make the transfer forum invisible to you :smirk:

You think he knows that City are so far leading the race, whatever that means, have they submitted an offer or what? We are just behind (yippee!), how? What have we done to be just behind? The story has just broke. Spurs will only get him if they get Champions League football, so what is that saying? If Spurs come fourth will they be leading the race and jump ahead of us and City? Hazard isn't keen on Chelsea, presumably he told him that. Arsenal aren't interested because he's too expensive, despite having plenty of money to make the signing and being linked with Hazard in the past very heavily. Then Liverpool, Hazard isn't interested again. He text him to say so.

That's a feck of a lot of information that he wouldn't be privy to. He might know some things but there is no way he knows all that.

Yes I'd believe he's spoken to the agent who has probably been trying to get the best offer in. You really think that the player hasn't chatted with his agent and said Champs league club in England....his agent contacts a list of clubs to make them aware of his clients availability?
Of which I'm sure he's been hounded by journos and asked the question and been told they've made the best offer(or will top whatever we offer).

It's fairly logical that that's the way the agents work. As stories get leaked it puts pressure on clubs to tie deals up quickly OR it makes other clubs enter the fray.

Let them buy him for a buttload of money. They won't be able to play in Europe in a few years anyway, and he'll want to feck off.

Im guessing the middle one, but nani would have to be in there somewhere. Fit and on form he is on par with Rooney as our best players IMO.

Why is that?

We could do with another wide player, seeing as many people think Park will leave in the summer.

We could do with another wide player yes (regardless if Park stays) but we're crying out for at least 2 central midfielders

I agree, a winger would be nice but we already have 3 amazing ones, a central midfielder is what we need. Scholes coming back only highlights that fact. Somebody like Martinez would be perfect for us I think, or sahin.

what exactly is Vieras role? Is he an embassador? A scout? A donkey looking for money?

I don't know about that, but he's certainly an embarrassment

I've put 50 quids a couple of weeks ago on Hazard to Manchester City this summer.

Only fools believe that he'll be a Manchester United player in a few months.

Most likely. Although I'm sure you won't mind losing the 50 if we do end up signing him ;)

You know that guy in movies that the villain boss always has. Sends him to do all the dirty work, never completes it. Ends up dying, perhaps by the hand of his own boss. That's Vieira. Some sort of garbage man/thug.

Sorry for the derogatory remark about your post, but it grinds my gears when it's assumed that we can't compete with a shower like City for a top player. I don't understand how such a gross underestimation of our club's status in world football can be compatible with being a fan.

Because of money. That's why. Foreign players have no affiliation with Manchester United and City and Chelsea are competing for the same thing. Go there you've got a chance to win the same medals and earn more whilst doing it.

Oh :(

I guess someone should inform Wayne Rooney.

I have no inside info - he may sign for City, depends on his priorities - but there are good reasons why we might be preferred.

We're Manchester United, one of the great clubs in the game; we have the world's top manager, with a history of nurturing young talent second to none; a record of unbroken success over 20 years; a midfield which clearly needs strengthening; and we're not going to dump him for the next shiny toy if he isn't instantly successful.

I think we bring a lot to the table. If the size of his paycheck is his primary concern of course, he'll be a City player.

We're a very big club, no doubt. But, being realistic, City's money is a big pull for any top player and indeed any club who is selling a big player. It's not a knock against us at all, as you seem to be making out.

That guy on twitter says Kagawa is a done deal.
Is he reliable..
works for 'xxx' means nothing.
Ian Mcgarry 'works' for bbc as a freelance journo who is on from time to time. And he knows nothing.

He'll be at City next season. Mancini has made his interest quite clear.
