Why the feck is everyone discussing Kagawa in here when there's a Kagawa thread above this one?

Because they are connected. I suspect it'll turn out that Kagawa is Hazard's long lost twin brother.

Hazard 7 Believe.

(Probably best not to actually believe in this.)

We have a number 7 available now, anyone know what Hazard's favourite number is?

Number 7 fits a lot more to Hazard than Kagawa. Just sayin...

As Gill said - players will go and players will come. This is exactly what is happening. Making space for new arrivals.

We gonna have to wait for more of SAF's further actions.

Well another plus on our side, Fergie to hazard, "the magical No7 is yours, follow the likes of Beckham, Best, Ronaldo (all the best in their positions at the time), at City the no7 shirt would mean you join the likes of : Stephen Ireland, Darren Huckerby, Georgi Kinkladze, David White, Glyn Pardoe,Mike Summerbee, the choice is your my son"

Or Downing Street.

His favourite number will be 7 when we've finished with him. Just like the rest, they can never let that number go once they've had it. :D

"I think [Eden] Hazard will come to City," Nasri told the Mirror. "There is already one Belgian in the squad in Vincent [Kompany].

"He's a young, talented player and at Manchester United there are a lot of people on the wings. I was in the same position last year and I chose City, and I don't regret my choice."

Nasri has revealed that Patrick Vieira helped persuade him to come to City and that Roberto Mancini called him every day in order to win him over. The Frenchman was attracted by the opportunity to be part of history by helping City to win their first Premier League title.

"I thought for a few months before making my decision, with my parents and my advisors," Nasri explained.

"Patrick [Vieira]'s argument was that United are used to winning everything. Last season they won the league title and got to the Champions League final and if you sign this season and you play less well, it won't have been a success for you.

"Whereas City is a club that's building, which has recruited smartly with the likes of Sergio Aguero, and if you win the title you'll be part of history.

"I weighed up the pros and cons, Roberto Mancini was calling me every day and I decided to go there."

We've apparently got £25 million in the bank, how can we be going after the likes of Hazard?

That will be up to about £77m by the end of the season according to andersred and these deals are hardly ever one lump sum.

£25.6m actually.

Agreed, we won't be getting him.

I would hope that isn't our whole transfer budget (plus sales) as I was hoping we would see good investment seeing as we have had such a low net spend (yes, despite £50m last summer) in the last five years.

We will surely be looking to do deals whereby we make payments annually. We do love debt and all.

Can you lot stop focusing on the £25.6M, it's a seasonal low. When the season ticket and other revenues start rolling in, it will be a lot higher. The figure will not be a hurdle in our way if we want to strengthen.

Nope, that figure will be used by anyone even though they have no idea of anything.h

If that figure was £0, where would we get money from to buy players etc? I'm not sure how this all works tbh.

Its the bank account. Like others mentioned, once we start getting season tickets money, it'll go up again.

Not to mention you just take up a short term line from the bank.

Transfer aren't done in lump sums. Bit simplistic but in FM where you sign a player in monthly installments, that is actually slightly more realistic. One of the reasons the Ronaldo deal was agreed was that was in one whole lump sum, which is a rarity. Add on to the fact that there may be bonuses depending on future performances then there is probably enough in the bank. As has been said already we will have much more in the bank at the start on June/July.

Patrick Viera's a cnut.

And the big fat 180k paycheck was an afterthought .

So let me get this straight, BECAUSE utd are always winning, he decided to join another team? Definitely arsenal mentality there.

So he chose the team who had hopes and dreams of success (but no guarantee of it), rather than the team who was top of the pile - PL champions and CL runners up.

:wenger::rolleyes:

Yeah, we believe you Nasri, honest!

Not a slant on King Minger, but this looks like a load of piss to me, pure speculation on Nasri's behalf, if he ever said it in the first place.

Why would having a fellow Belgian in the team have any bearing on where he plays? There will not be a language barrier, Belgian's tend to very lingual, including French and English.

Nasri is a fanny.

Money is the attraction of City, end of.

Well, they are the reigning Premier League champions with quite a few quality players and they will be seen as contenders for the Champions League next season. It's not 2009 anymore when, indeed, money was the only thing going for them.

What I don't get is that Nasri was supposed to prefer playing centrally; yet he did not come to United because of the wingers? Weird. I'm willing to believe the other part though, that he was afraid of the pressure of playing for United. Because he is indeed a fanny.

Hmmm, they did win the league..... that we gave them, whilst not playing our best football.

We don't need to improve to compete with them next season, but they need to improve to prevent the enevitable improvement at OT.

Ever the optimist!! :)

Silva / Aguero / Kompany / Toure.

Seems as though they've seen our wishlist and bid ahead

Fair bit bouncing round Twitter at the moment that we might be in for some good news on this front.

Don't get too excited though, it's only Twitter.
