Who'd have him rather than Kagawa then?

Both are really talented and are still young but I reckon Hazard will be up there with the very best players in the world, Kagawa will be on the verge of world class but not quite there IMO. So yeah, I'd rather take Hazard but Kagawa is pretty good as well. Different players though, having them both would be even better. :)

Probably should be in Twitter thread but I'll post it here.

@Agent_Smith7: Kagawa's agent confirmed talks with Sir Alex Ferguson. The reason why the deal isnt done yet is the waiting decision of Hazard. #MUFC

That would be a seriously messed-up way to do business - "Welcome to the club, you're the best we could get..." :(

Anyway Hazard is clearly going to City (just see this thread for evidence :wenger:).

Kagawa is arguably in the top 5 in his position already. Its just its a specialised position that only a handful of top talents play for their team. He's already "world class" in that regard, its just open to debate whether the position's merits are as good as a second striker or someone playing deeper in a central midfield role. For example he drops deeper and provides more chances for team mates than Rooney does in his second striker role so it would be a little unfair to compare them directly. But at the same time, any team that plays with an AM in the hole like Kagawa is choosing that instead of using a second striker so hes always going to be compared in some form.

As Gill said - Players will come but some will go.

There may be easily room for two as only Giggs and at some part Rooney can play Attacking Midfielder role, at the moment.

I'm pretty much sure, it's not United's transfer tactic.

Both Kagawa and especially Hazard were watched from some solid amount of time.

Educate me muppets, is Hazard a winger or attacking mid? People seem to keep putting him out wide in their teams but in what crazy world would we sign another winger?

Could we sign both?

Kagawa wouldn't cost much right?

Seeing as he's at the end of his contract I would assume he wouldn't, I really think we are doing all we can to get the both of them, but the choice is completely to Hazard over which club he sees having a better future with I think. I don't think we'll be holding back on him, or I hope we aren't. He's just one of those players who you try your hardest to sign.

He has epic bag of skills that allows him to find himself at many attacking positions with positive result for his team. Match against PSG was another example that he's not selfish type of player.

He's attacking from every angle, score goals, making beautiful assists. Universal type of player and we know that SAF likes that diversity.

With his pace, he could easily swap positions with Nani and Young, especially during European clashes.

He may be not cheap but at least You're getting a complete package both for Champions League and Premiership level.

Šťastný12 from the newbies PM'ed me with a translation of the Canal+ videos:

Just watched the two Canal + videos about Eden Hazard.

He confirms he wants to leave France for England.
He wants to play for a club where he could be a starter, saying that it would be a waste of his time to sit on the bench.
He even says he would consider Arsenal.

When asked if he is happy with the results of the last day of the Premiership, he says he doesn't really care, he was supporting Manchester ( as in the City of Manchester, the town, not the club)

That's pretty much it. Hope this helps!

Šťastný12 from the newbies PM'ed me with a translation of the Canal+ videos:

That starter stipulation is probably better for us. City do have a lot of stars. Depends on how he sees it of course. They may have emphasised their need for a winger, and he may fancy his chances of nailing down that position.

Don't care who's better, I want Kagawa. Just feels like the kind of player I'd prefer to support. And if we were to somehow end up with Hazard, I still want Kagawa!

Really?  No where near.

Don´t worry. If money is all their little brains think about and they want to support all their family for 456 years they will join City. On the other hand, if they do want to sign for a proper football club AND making money good enough to support atleast three generations while playing infront of 75000 fans then they will sign for us. I don´t want players who sign for city or chelsea. I want players who WANTS to come to us. I respect players goin to the Arse, Spurs and (puke) KKK alot more because they are joining a football club, not a fecking circus.

fecking hate the scouse cnuts so can´t believe I wrote RESPECT in the same sentence. Withdrawn and feck you LFC

Šťastný12 from the newbies PM'ed me with a translation of the Canal+ videos:

That's correct. But the video with the 'I want to play and not sit on a bench' is from some time ago already, right?

As for the other video:

He was asked if the results (the premier league results with City winning the league), pleased him. He then went on the answer that it's why we watch football and especially the premier league because such things happen there almost every other weekend. The interviewer then said: 'Yes but the result itself, did it please you?' Hazard: "oh the result... erm.. yes and no, I wasn't 'for' a particular team'. I was 'for' Manchester (laughs)"

I actually think we've gone for both Hazard and Kagawa. Though I'd love both, it seems Kagawa is more nailed on than Eden

In a 433, The midfield of Carrick-Cleverley-Kagawa, front line of Nani Rooney Hazard.

Sexy football.

They probably gathered that from the 'I'm coming to Manchester' quotes on canal+. They are still under the impression there's just 1 club in Manchester.

I like Marca.

Maybe in France there is still only one Manchester too... :D
