Serbians.
While you dismiss that you should also try to explain why it is that everytime an English side containing any black player comes anywhere near the Balkans, the issue of racist fans rears it's head.
Are you seriously suggesting that their isn't a social problem out there. And how is it that Serbian supporters today thought it was exceptable to aim monkey chants toward Nedum Onuoha.
and that doesnt happen in England?????
There are idiots who do these things, but you seem to imply that all the fans in the balkans are like this. I was at the 2006 world cup when Serbia played against the Ivory Coast, some fans started to make racist sounds, but immediately the majority of the fans(including me) told them to shut the feck up, and they stopped. There are alot of black basketball players that play in the adriatic basketball league, the ex-yugo countries play in the same league. I have never heard any racist things against them during the games.
Fair point, what do you think was different about today?
Zola rues Rossi decision Sunday 17 June, 2007
Italy consultant Gianfranco Zola admits they were wrong in leaving Giuseppe Rossi on the bench in the European Under-21 Championships.
“Giuseppe is an important player, but at the start so was Palladino, so we thought it was right to keep faith with Raffaele,” he said after the Azzurrini crashed out of the tournament.
“Obviously with hindsight you can say many things, but at the time we thought that was the right thing to do.”
The decision to give Rossi only 16 minutes against Serbia and the second half in the 2-2 draw with England caused controversy and confusion in the Italian media.
In his first start of the competition this evening, he scored for the 3-1 win over the Czech Republic and was voted Man of the Match by UEFA.
Despite the result, Italy still go out at the first hurdle thanks to England’s controversial 2-0 victory over the already qualified Serbia.
“Clearly this is not enough, as we thought – and I still think – we deserved to go further,” added Zola.
“Unfortunately we are paying the price for mistakes above all in the first game, which looking carefully we did not deserve to lose. We didn’t do enough against Serbia in terms of finishing.
“These things can happen and the lads can be proud they gave their all with more or less everyone playing their part.”
It’s not all over yet, as Italy face a play-off with Portugal on Thursday for a place in the 2008 Olympics.
This is because England can only compete as part of Great Britain, so their presence in the top four leaves a space open.

England are a bunch of cheaters
I would rather have had Italy go through than that bunch of inbreds like Milner and Reo-Coker
How the feck would I know. I wasn't there.
If the people in the balkans really are as racist as you're saying, there wouldn't be so many black players in the adriatic basketball league.
It looks like Bamsola is running out of accusations against serbs.
Firstly I didn't say that everybody in the Balkans was racist as I haven't met all of them I couldn't possibly make that kind of judgement. What I did say is that society as a whole out there is behind the times in it tolerance of racism and that spills over into football. That what I meant when I said that they are behind the times.
I personally dont know any serb who has something against black people.
As for your assertion that having black players in the adriatic basketball league means there isn't a problem thats just laughable. The NBA is made up of mainly black players, why should the adriatic basketball league be any different.
You should know that Yugoslavia is the most succesful nation in basketball in the world if you exclude USA, we have won 5 world championships. The league could be without black players without making the teams worse.
Going to a sports event to cheer black players isn't a sign of any anti-racist attitude, people have a tendancy to pick atheletes based on aptitude rather than personal respect, i'm willing to bet that those black players had to be very special to even be considered for that league.
No, not since the early nineties when footballing society decide it had to become more civilised.
England are a bunch of cheaters

What I said was that these players are not reveiving any racist shouts while playing in the balkans.
We were under an international embargo during the early 90s![]()
You can draw attention to basketball, but basketball is a different atmosphere which doesn't stir-up nearly as much passion as football and therefore it is more of a family atmosphere.
Football stirs up passion and attracts a more partisan crowd, that passion has a tendancy to bring out more of whats underlying.
Not sure what you mean.
I was joking.
You said that we were after when it came to racial tolerance and things like that.
You said people changed in the early 90s, and i replied that we were cut off from the rest of the world in the early 90s during the embargo.
Bollocks. One of the weakest arguments I've ever seen on redcafe, shame on you.

You have probably never watched a basketball game in europe.
No that would be you're argument that Mihaijlovic is a person who the world shouldn't despise.
Vieira and Mihajlovic are good friends today, and if he's a such a bad person why would so many people come to his farewell game?
These are some of the people that played in his farewell game if you exclude the Inter squad.
Peruzzi, Pancaro, Giannini, Stoichkov, Lombardo, Fillipo Inzaghi, Simone Inzaghi, Carbone, Couto, Fiore, Mijatovic, Montella etc etc.
You've made your point Bamsola.
There is no need for you to continue to make accusations against serbs.
Once again my accusation was against Serbian society and Sinisa, not all serbs.![]()
Btw, in serbian news I'm reading that this fight in the tunnel and the racist remarks in the tunnel is bollocks made up by the english media(the only ones to report this) to cover up for what Derbyshire did.
It comes as such a supprise to me that they would say that.![]()
And we all know how much of what english media says is true.
It's interesting that only english media is reporting this. No dutch media, or italian have heard about racist remarks in the tunnels.
And we all know how much of what english media says is true.
This racism thing is probably overblown, the serbian players were pissed because of the Derbyshire goal, that's why there was a fight in the tunnel.
A serbian player in the belgian leauge(I think) said "feck Off" to a black player during a game, later he reported him and he was suspended 3 games for being a racist.
Post a link to that story or come across as a idiot fabricating stories those are your two choices.
I got this story about the serbian player who was suspended from the user Mihajlovic in the thread about Mihajlovic. He named both players, and in which clubs they played. If that thread hasn't been deleted by the mods you should be able to find it there.
And I'm reading interviews of the serbian players, and they said that they were pissed because of the second goal.
EDIT: It was Nenad Jestrovic, who said feck off to Sissoko when Anderlecht played Liverpool. He received a 2 match ban from Uefa.
I finally found a link in english http://www.football.co.uk/liverpool/jestrovic_denies_sissoko_abuse_207661.shtml
