Europa League 2015/2016

Must be a bit shitty for Rosenborg to know they are only the second best team in the country and that they only won the league because Molde weirdly fecked their season up massively.

Yeah but the vast majority on ForumScp also prefers to focus on the league. Of course they should do better but not much you can do when you get this kind of conditionalism (pen and sending off) it makes it harder. Only playing with Patrício and Adrien who are usual starters doesn't help either. Anyways, apparently it isn't just me that doesn't care, the manager does a "good job" with this kind of management to neglect the competition. The draw between Besiktas and Lokomotiv still makes it possible to qualify (which i hope we don't) though.

Preferring to focus on the league and not caring are two entirely different things. If the ForumScp you read is the same I read then the vast majority, if not all, clearly want to win this game. No reason to re-enact our previous discussion, but at the time I thought your opinion was biased by the frustration of that harshly unfair loss in the CL qualifier. Kind of surprised you still maintain that stance, and can't understand it at all (or rather, I understand, as you've explained it already, just don't think it's normal or logical) :)

I watched the first 15 minutes and then gave up....stupid cameras are a mile away in Europe League matches. He's had a couple of touches - but that's about it. Not really imposed himself, though he is playing kind of as a No.10
Nah, he's playing surprisingly deep most of the time.

I still mantain the stance. Of course they want to win every game but the vast majority doesn't want us to go with a full strenght team run in the Europa league. That's what i was saying and what the vast majority of ForumScp thinks like i said. The main focus is the league (that we haven't won in more than a decade) so it's understandable we neglect the Europa League, rest our main team and prioritize our main objective. It's logical for Jorge Jesus objectives to do so and normal for many teams (english, italian or spanish clubs for example). I even remember in other years where we didn't go full strength on Europa League games. And why would i change my stance if i agree with Jorge Jesus strategy? Because of a 5-1 win against Skenderbeu? Nope i still maintain that i want us out as soon as possible. No thanks to more Russian or turkish trips unless they are Champions League games. Prefer to have a fully rested team against the likes of Arouca.

Yes and only 50 Dortmund fans, too.

Still better than Liverpool. Nobody travelled to Kazan. Look the evidence.

Utterly brilliant to be qualified after four (!) wins in a row. Already looking forward to the away game in February, hopefully in a stadium with a big allocation for the travelling support (preferably not eastern Europe), should be awesome. Schobi's goal was just the icing on the cake, never seen anything like that before

A win today sees us through, while a draw more than likely puts us through. Shouldn't be too hard.

I glanced at that list and was like Dortmund, sure.. Napoli, sure... Molde?? ... Rapid what the feck Wien????
For those team to make up two of only four teams to qualify so early is quite the achievement, especially considering that there are a ton of "big" names in the field.

Trademark Borussia Dortmund: Concede (early) before you score. :wenger:

France will need some success in order not to lose a CL spot. Bordeaux looks fecked already but St-Etienne, Marseille and Monaco can do it.

That's such a stupid move by Hummels for the penalty.

This looks like one of those games where we'll hit the bar or posts some more time but fail to score. In case we end up 2nd in the group, I reminded myself what the consequences are. EL regulations read:
The round of 32 pairings are determined by means of a draw in accordance with the following principles:

a. Clubs from the same association cannot be drawn against each other.

b. The 12 UEFA Europa League group-winners and the 4 best third-placed teams from the UEFA Champions League group stage are drawn against the 12 UEFA Europa League group runners-up and the remaining third-placed teams from the UEFA Champions League group stage.

c. The winners and runners-up of the same group cannot be drawn against each other.

d. The UEFA Europa League group-winners and the four best third-placed teams from the UEFA Champions League group stage play the return leg at home.

Just tuned in. Was it a justifiable penalty for Krasnodar?
Looks like Hummels is losing the plot more and more. A shadow of his former self.

Perhaps he needs a new challenge.

I'd say it was a foul but outside the box, still stupid from him and his reaction to track the runner is slow as feck. See the gif I posted a few posts above.
