Europa League 2015/2016

Yes, but why was that squad there in the first place? You only have Norwich next, and four days after being thrashed by United, your manager didn't feel like picking up the momentum with a decent shot at a winnable EL game. Spineless stuff.

Agree 100% with that... Apart from maybe the thrasing part  (We did deservedly lose that match, though).

Scratch that Basel now beating Fiorentina! Down with the Italians!

Dni Pro equalize against Lazio. Italians collapsing all around.

Nah. Confirmed by my Bordeaux supporting mate: played mainly as a striker all through last year, sometimes played as an 8 (but very rarely), and has only been repositioned as a DM this season.
Well, your mate is wrong. Henri and I are brothers.

Anyone can tell me,AZ came with B squad or something, because i dont understand life of me,how any team in Europe can lose vs Partizan?

didnt Partizan beat Celtic or rangers abpout 5-0 10 years ago? and the return leg was won 4-0 for a 5-4 aggregate.

Just got back from the stadium, we deservedly lost 3-1 and with no ref mistakes! Jorge Jesus plays second string and no complaints we sucked. Not too bothered as soon as we are out the better (i know other Sporting fan doesn't agree but i don't care about european competitions this year). Really liked Gelson Martins, i think we have another winger gem with him.

Europa League football admittedly seems to be improving as a spectacle which can only be a good thing.

So Rapid, by some miracle, beat Villarreal and I couldn't see it because I'm stuck on the Autobahn. Figures.

It was a brilliant atmosphere once again, Europa League is such a great thing for clubs like Rapid.

I know it's difficult to grasp as United supporters, but the money involved in the Europa League can help the small clubs a lot.

It's a big deal for Polish clubs as well. They didn't do well yesterday though - Legia lost in Denmark and will find it very tough now and Lech drew at home to Belenenses (Lech are in terrible form).

Well Belenenses are in terrible form as well. They lost 6-0 against Benfica before going to Poland. I saw the highlights in the morning and Belenenses could have scored twice in the final minutes. I don't really rate Belenenses but they have been good in Europe. Eliminating IFK Gotemburg and now draw away to polish champions is great for such a small club.

Lech Poznań have 1 win, 1 draw and 6 defeats in the league this season. Drawing against them is no achievement right now, you're supposed to be beating them with ease.

Portuguese big clubs perhaps, Belenenses as a small club is another reality. But yeah i get your point from what i read and saw Lech Poznan was really poor. Most of Belenenses fans expected another beating like the Benfica match.

Well, three changes (one enforced) from the game against Man. City: Chadli in place of the injured Son, Trippier in place of Walker and Rose in place of Davies. But yes, a strong line-up.

Hey,do you know where Milos Veljkovic is? Is he even rated at all?

Hey,do you know where Milos Veljkovic is? Is he even rated at all?

Yes. He's a highly rated prospect ... for Spurs fans at least.

But there seem to be difficulties over his contract renewal - possibly (?) because the player is frustrated over his lack of first team squad opportunities. A loan this summer to La Liga outfit Sporting Gijon was apparently on the cards, but didn't happen, seemingly because Spurs were unwilling to allow the move before he had agreed a new deal. So he's now back with our U-21 setup.

Some pundits think he'll thus be sold this January (unless he relents on a new contract). I hope not.
