Why was Sir Alex talking about Newcastle beeing our next opponent?

Neverthless, I hope some of the injured players are fit again and more important, we focus on the League again and win that game!!!!

More important than the return leg in my opinion. Must win games but i suppose what games aren't at this stage.

If we win this we'll win the league IMHO. This is the last game the Champions League will priortise over.

my heart wants 4-0. rooney (twice), smudger and scholes to score.
but my mind says 1-0. ole scoring and the defensive players been told to keep a clean sheet a priority after scoring a first half goal and the makeshift offensive players told to play physically economical.

----------VDS-----------
O'Shea-Brown-Heinze--Evra
----Carrick-Fletcher-------
Ronaldo--Scholes--Rooney
---------Smith------------

Secure the points, then bring off Scholes, Ronaldo and Rooney. Only Giggs needs a proper rest after that, and as long as we don't play Richardson we'll be fine without him.

It may be the back 4 being told to let no one near the net so VDS can not bottle it.

VDS
Evra-Oshea-Brown-Heinze
Fletcher-Carrick-Scholes-Ronaldo
Rooooooney-Smith

Rest giggs, we should win this. 3-1, rooney (2) and ronaldo.

Agrees

Ronaldo-------Scholes------Rooney

This team should do it, Giggs needs a rest before San Siro.

1-2 Rooney, Scholes.

I definitely see smudge starting this. Also fletcher may get the nod ahead of carrick in the middle alongside scholes. God knows how our back 4 will look, but Rooney should, for obvious reasons, start alongside smudger.

This set up gets my vote too - if things are going well definitely try and get some subs on and try and give Ron and Roon a breather.

Am hoping and praying that GNev is on the bench - to get him back for the Milan return would be perfect!!

Am confident we can get a win - last night wouldve given them an almighty boost!!

If we beated Milan with this squad, we can simply beat Everton.

This match will decide the title I reckon.

Nope - next weekend's derby against City and the Russians trip to the Emirates will decide the title (gut feeling) !

I fancy Utd to win this 2-0, but I also fancy Chelsea to THUMP Bolton 1-0 in their usual entertaining style (Jesus, if I get a pound for every long ball played in that game it'll pay for me hols !!)

totally agree with this. giggs to be benched for a deserved rest.
win the game and then think about bringing players off early. it nearly always goes wrong when resting all your big guns and they invariably end up coming off the bench for a rescue act anyway.

Yeah i was wondering Howard can play against us. I couldn't get any reliable answer in the other thread i did.

Cahill is out, Johnson's not entirely apparently.

Everton missing Cahill, Johnson and Howard

I reckon 1-0 to United, Giggs scoring it

Just read Evertons website no mention of anyone being out except for Johnson a maybe..

David Moyes admits he will have to 'wait and see' whether Andy Johnson will be fit to gace Manchester United.

Johnson was injured on Saturday at West Ham and subsequent scans revealed a sprained ankle.

Now Moyes is playing the waiting game ahead of the visit of the championship challengers on Saturday.

"We will just have to wait and see,” said the manager.

“We will see how he goes. We missed AJ when he went off on Saturday because he runs and stretches the defence. He is sharp with it and it does affect us when he is not there. We have got to find a different way of doing things."

Is Howard still not allowed to play against us until next season? Or is he eligble to now that he has signed for them permanently?

Why is everyone saying rest Giggs?

He didnt start last Saturday...

We can rest Giggs and not play Richardson, as my line-up suggests earlier in the thread.

And Cahill is out for the season, as an Australian I know this as I was listening to someone drone on about how our Asian Cup challenge rests on his fitness.

Given that this is an incredibly testing away game for some reason I have an incredibly good feeling about it. I honestly believe that if we win this game we will take the title. It's a simple as that. Three points on Saturday and it is ours.

Small Paul has pointed out Everton have tickets for this game on General Sale. In the wrong end obviously. Buy here if you're interested.

Giggs is 33 and you can't give him 90 minutes for every 3 days game we have... remember we play on wednesday again vs milan and we will need him... fletcher is playing world class right now so rest giggs its good for us

must 3 points, hopefully Rooney can shut up the boos he gets from Everton fans and score again.

Will Howard play against us since his loan deal has already ended as he is sold?
