Evra accuses Suarez of racist remarks | Suarez guilty of racial abuse

Front of soccernet, Suarez the goblin doesn't want to give Evra his Gringotts deposits back.

Kinell.

I heard Ronaldinho and Estelle text suarez saying "you've got some big fecking teeth mate!"

Magnus, did you delete your most recent post? I wasn't meaning in any way to imply that I haven't done bad things or things as part of a crowd, the only point I was trying to make is that when I have done things like that, I can't justify it by saying that everyone else was doing it too. If I look back and think it was wrong, I probably shouldn't have done it, and would try never to repeat it.

I completely understand how easy it is to get caught up doing something wrong and I'm sure we've all been in that situation, particularly when there is an atavistic atmosphere, like at a football match. I wasn't meaning to condemn people, but I do think there is a distinction between someone who does something bad, and someone who repeatedly does something bad, or tries to justify the initial actions.
Fair enough

Absolute twat, tryin' to be all pally pally with him for the cameras. The bloke is a snake.

I was once called a ginger cnut, same thing basically.

I have no idea who might be right or wrong in this situation, but it's very interesting to see each set of supporter's paint their own player in a different light to their rival!

Liverpool focus on Evra having 'form' for this, with Suarez being lonely, vulnerable and new to the English game. We focus on Evra being our captain and thoroughly committed to the cause, with Suarez being a known diver with history of extreme behaviour in his biting incident.

I get the feeling that Evra exaggerates things sometimes and perhaps lets his pride follow things through that aren't necessarily justified. However, I'm referring more to the occasional free kick or throw in that he'll argue the toss about, not being called "The N Word".

I don't see any reason why Evra would lie about it, especially as he reported it after the game, a result which our players should be comparatively satisfied with. Suarez does come across as a bit of a spiteful guy, but a racist? Dunno.

What does that even mean?
That he said the most provocative thing he could in order to spark a reaction without meaning what he said.

Obviously on a different scale with the stigma associated with the particular word that Suarez is claimed to have said, but it's like Materazzi saying that Zidane's sister is a whore despite not believing that she is one. Merely saying the most offensive thing he could come up with to get a reaction out of the opponent.

For whatever reason, if he was racist, he was racist!

I see that. In that sense it is possible but you have to admit that's climbing pretty low if he actually did say those racist remarks just to get a reaction. There's other ways of winding up your opponent

Absolutely. However, in my opinion it would be even worse to actually have the racist thoughts that were widely spread in societies around the world not too long ago.

Yep, I agree with you. I didn't mean to defend Suarez, I just pointed out that he doesn't need to be racist to say something like that. It's enough to be a twat. Doesn't help his case much if he said it.

I don't think he'll be punished, but I really really want him to be (if he said it).

Paddy is french. What if he just called him a frog and was going around saying "ribbet" in his ear?

All jokes aside, though, I believe Evra 100%. I also totally agree with Boss in his stance on the n word. I'd bet anything that the posters who used it wouldn't say it in front of a black person, regardless of whatever 'point' they were trying to make. There's no need to use it, full stop.

Have you got an answer to my question as to why Evra seems to be the one who's targeted more than most when it comes to racism ?
In the six years he's been playing in England, this is the first time he's ever claimed an on-the-field racist incident.

There was also the incident with the Chelsea groundsman, but that was after a match. There was insufficient evidence either way there so both parties got punished for their part in the fight.

So in six years, you think him being on the receiving end of racism a grand total of twice is an anomaly?

Considering the copious amounts of black players that have had longer Premiership careers without any reports of racial abuse, then yes, I'd consider 2 in 6 years to be something of an anomaly. What makes it even more suspicious, is the fact that these allegations have come on the grounds of 2 of United's fiercest rivals - If Suarez is guilty, then he'll deserve everything that's coming to him. But falsely accusing someone of racial abuse is just as serious as racial abuse itself. Therefore, I trust the FA will come down hard on Patrice Evra should his allegations be found to be untrue.

What are your thoughts on assuming allegations of racial abuse are untrue, largely because of which football team you support?

Until proven otherwise, they are untrue. So your point is invalid.

I have to confess to using a six letter word the begins with 'n' & ends with 'er' to describe Patrice Evra when he was chasing Suarez around the penalty box yesterday. But if calling someone a 'nutter' is a criminal offence, then sue me.

If they can't be proven, then it doesn't mean that Evra is falsely accusing someone. Stop acting like a moron.

un·true/ˌənˈtro͞o/
Adjective: Not in accordance with fact or reality; false or incorrect.

For something to be untrue, it must be proven to be untrue, just like for something to be true, it must be proven to be true. If it cannot be proven either way, it's inconclusive.

Do you think Marcelo's claims against Busquets were 'untrue'? After all, it couldn't be proven otherwise.

So it's OK for Evra to bring out the racist card every time he spits out his dummy then ? Simply because it can't be proven either way.

Take off your blinkers soft-lad.
Every time?

He refused to make allegations on Steve Finnan, when it was heard by two fans.

He has done it once in last six years and it was against the Chelsea Groundsman, a claim which was backed by Phelan and United's GK coach at that time. It's you who need to take his blinkers off.

If you think that just because a thing can't be proven, it'll be deemed to be untrue then you quite frankly a retard.

Everytime! Awesome.

Evra generally has a rant at someone at some point in most games. He's a volatile and inherently dislikeable character. But he doesn't "keep on" using the race card. He's reported once before and, as said, he was backed up. The groundsman has argued a case of mishearing "ignorant" as "immigrant".

If Evra is lying then goodbye Pat. If he isn´t I hope the cheating bastard get what he deserves. But still stand by what I´ve said about "heat in the moment". I´ve done and said things as much as I´ve had things, not very nice, coming my way, but i firmly believe that you can be a twat "in the heat" without being a twat in general life.

Would've been more interesting if Rafa was still around.
