Is it a fact that the verdict is going to be announced shortly or is that only Twitter speculation too?
Sadly, it's only been said on Twitter afaik. It's been said lots of times by lots of people on twitter though - does that make it more true? Isn't this how the Arab Spring started?
I agree. If the FA rescinded his right to play in the country, they could then recommend that the players work permit is cancelled as well. If this was the case, the evidence the FA would have used to charge the player with could then be passed up the line and the player could then face criminal charges and face deportation.
What a statement that would be.

He will be cleared ir serve a short ban. If he is found guilty then Liverpool will appeal and this will run and run. A small slap on the wrist. The FA don't want to get bogged down with this issue.

This is 2011 for heaven's sake, there's no place for racist abuse in society. I appreciate that your formative years might have been spent in another age where acts of racism were 'part and parcel' of everyday life but we've grown out of that, we've left those times behind. Why can't you just support a harsh sentence? Why can't you support a racist being taught a lesson that we, in organised society, will not tolerate acts of bigotry. Why?
The only fecking institution that has been corrupted is Liverpool FC, in supporting an utter utter cnut of a man regardless of his behaviour.

But I am far more interested in Liverpool's response. Do they appeal? If that fails than they must be seen to take action themselves.
Also this will lead onto the Terry case who surely will be sacked from being England captain for a start
I predict the FA playing it safe and delivering a verdict aimed to appease both sides. Something like a short ban and a warning. Along with a mentioning something in the statement that doesn't basically deem him a racist.
I realise that Suarez's punishment should fit his crime but sticking his member in a vice seems a bit much...

In other news, a Liverpool radio station claims there could be a delay & the verdict may be announced tomorrow.
i'm guessing 'lack of evidence', no punishments...easy option for FA.

The least it should be is a 4 game ban with a further 2 games ban suspended for 3 years.
I can't see them suspending any games, he's already got a second charge coming up, so what's the point of adding any suspended games onto this ban as it will kick in straight away.
