Evra accuses Suarez of racist remarks | Suarez guilty of racial abuse

So he is basically admitting using a term that is racist in this country, but still thinks he is innocent and in the right? No apology for offence caused even if not intended (which it clearly was).

Maybe he is actually racist, Liverpool FC were right to bring that word to our attention.

how can they be allowed to continue questioning the character and integrity of a man whos only error was to be offended at being called out by his skin colour? how can the authorities not now come down heavily on LFC and Suarez for a refusal to apologise for any offence even if they consider it accidental? Why is Patrice Evra being allowed to be continually singled out by that scum as a bad guy in this affair?

Although it was intentional provocation on a football pitch - playing against your fiercest rivals. Unintentional offence due to cultural ignorance should have been the very least he could have done to save face.

I have no doubt that Evra's version of events is the closest to reality. He's a slippery cnut hence the pre-emptive mentions of "because you are black" and "dale, negro". He knew what he was saying.

Not unless the press don't get bored of this. If this is all Kenny, then he has some power at that club.

Henry Winter called the statement 'toxic'.

The storey will run with the club until the end of his ban for sure. Ignite once again when we play em and depending on what's said till then it probably will continue into the season. I hope he does get the sack. Deluded bitter.

"n its determination to prove its conclusions to the public through a clearly subjective 115-page document, the FA panel has damaged the reputation of one the Premier League's best players, deciding he should be punished and banned for perhaps a quarter of a season. This case has also provided a template in which a club's rival can bring about a significant ban for a top player without anything beyond an accusation"

Disgraceful. fecking cnuts.

Shocking, just shocking. So snide

Oliver Kay: And if LFC/Suarez taking punishment, an apology to Evra - even if only for offence taken, not intended - wouldn't have hurt

This right here, but no he's still going "so what if I said it, it's not offensive in my country and Evra can go to feck".

Man up and say that the words you admitted to using could possibly cause offense to somebody in England that isn't used to the local customs of people from Uruguay. Say sorry for any offense it could possibly have caused and then move on from there, don't come out and say you've done nothing wrong but you'll accept the ban anyway for the good of the fecking game.

And the thing about being able to bring charges just on an accusation! Bloody hell your player admits using a certain word that could be taken offensively, your manager admits, your director of football admits it. That's not just an accusation it's a fecking admission!

Liverpool FC, eternal victims.

Oh and I fully expect him to play at OT. Leaving him out would be the sensible and professional thing to do all round.

Liverpool FC don't know how to be sensible and professional. They are scum and they'll want this game as a big "look at us and our martyr! YAWN!"

The Klan will come to town.

Wow, just when you thought they couldn't look any worse, they come out with these statements. This is shocking and I'm glad the journos are seeing what utter, utter cnuts LFC are. Basically, LFC are ok with racial slurs. I am shocked. I thought they'd see sense but they are further dragging their name though the mud, everything they have built is being undone by backing a player who has only been there 12 months and will probably feck off first chance he gets.

The lack of any apology is sickening. Of course Suarez will get all the abuse and boos he deserves but so should his shithouse team-mates for backing the absolute cnut of a man.

Quote from the LFC statement: "This case has also provided a template in which a club's rival can bring about a significant ban for a top player without anything beyond an accusation."

Might have already been mentioned, but this in particular is a scandalous inference. The rivalry between United and Liverpool doesn't need any stoking up, but this seems designed to do so. In reality, all United have done is to ask the FA to investigate a complaint from one of its players, since when the club (unlike Liverpool) has been silent on the matter.

Ben Smith: haven't handled Suarez affair well. Guilty or not, right or wrong, these statements smack of bitterness, rather than dignity

The press are finally having the scales fall from their eyes about Liverpool. I guess every cloud has a silver lining...

Lawreson on national radio has called Doglish a alcoholic??? What's going on :wenger:

He didn't say that directly, was implied though. He said that when they go to a bar or restaurant he's always the one that wants to leave last and drinks more than others.

In what context did he say that, was he discussing Doglish's drinking habits?

Oh, so turns out (assuming they win the FA cup game) we will be the second game on his return. Kenny is truly pathetic about the case though

In was in the context of people seeing Kenny as prickly. And Lawro said he used to be uptight and teetotal, but now he's a pisshead he shouldn't be. Was weird.

Yeah...it was like...well he's a prickly bastard due to being a pisshead...but er...I just wanna say, that I get along with him! honest!

Odd. Perhaps they don't get along.

Hmmm.

In all seriousness, Kenny has had some horrific things happen to him as Liverpool manager which would surely effect anyman. Literally horrible disgusting things that will scar him for life. If this is true, I hope it's nothing serious.

Kops King Kenny is sticking to his belief of supporting Suarez (Sky). This despite Suarez admitting the crime.

I'd love to smack that cnut Dalglish. He was asked straight away about the latest Suarez developments. He gave a smart ass comment about how he thought the first question would be about the match.

He said they stand beside Suarez, and that Suarez issued a brilliant statement. He said he didn't want to say anymore in case he'd get into trouble, there was plenty more he wanted to say but he wouldn't.

After the publication of the report, I couldn't see Liverpool appealing. Nor, however, did I expect any apology or even acceptance.

Stupidly, though, I thought they might just release a brief statement saying there weren't appealing and leave it quietly at that.

In what context did he say that, was he discussing Doglish's drinking habits?

Talking about how he's an interesting guy. He was talking about him and Sir Alex saying they need to get together and settle it for the good of the game and saying that they are 2 interesting men.

He talked about Sir Alex knowing about antiques, horse racing and most subjects, then about Daglish is funny and he drinks a lot..

The whole thing was weird, tbh.

I said it would go like this. Liverpool would grudgingly accept the ban without showing any regrets, or making any apologies. What a smalltime bunch.
