Evra accuses Suarez of racist remarks | Suarez guilty of racial abuse

Dalglish is a tit. He is entirely responsible for fueling the fans' hate.

A PR disaster from start to finish.

No point jumping the gun on this. Could have been a coin tossed at him rather than racial abuse , not that makes it better.

Absolutely disgusting if true. Maybe LFC will now finally realise just what they've started? Would love to hear the thoughts of like of Dumpstar on this, I notice he's gone missing of late though.

The Mirror must be facing the same type of ban in Liverpool as The Sun.

Liverpool have been thrust into another race hate row, after a fan was arrested on suspicion of racially abusing Oldham player Tom Adeyemi.

The incident occurred towards the end of the FA Cup tie, when a fan screamed abuse at the young full back, and visibly upset, he turned to confront the man.

Adeyemi was visibly upset, and seemed to be in tears. Liverpool skipper Steven Gerrard moved across to the corner of the ground where the incident occurred, and comforted the 20 year old.

Eye witnesses saw two fans wearing Luis Suarez t-shirts, and heard one of them clearly shout "You f***ing black b***ard".

Police immediately moved in to restrain the two suspects, and later confirmed arrests had been made.

A senior Liverpool figure explained afterwards that stewards were immediately on the scene, and he said: "We will do everything in our power to investigate the matter and ensure the appropriate action is taken."

The incident could not have come at a worst time for the club, following the controversy that has raged over the Suarez affair, who was banned for eight matches for racist abuse of Manchester United's Patrice Evra.

The FA are now sure to investigate, and Liverpool could face sanctions for failing to control their supporters.

Liverpool club statement: "We deny that any of our fans shouted any racial abuse at an Oldham player, but we fully support them if they did"

You left out the "They´ll never walk alone" to end the statement with.

If it's true:

It'll be ironic when they (rightly) ban the fan for life, whilst continuing to pay a different offender thousands of pounds per week.

I hope to Christ Paddy is 'rested' next time we visit Anfield. I fear for him there.

Apparently, it was in Scouse so it's lost in translation, and it's a term of endearment.

Oh and his wife call him that so it's ok

I reckon he'd love to play, he's a pretty tough nut, to be fair, but yeah he'll probably get a lot of racial abuse from some LFC fans.

Extreme racism at Anfield to force us to rest Evra, Rio, Smalling, Diouf, Welbeck, Valencia, Nani, Anderson, Pogba, Morrison, Cofie, Lingard and Cole

On the contrary, that plays right into their hands. If he's available and in the right frame of mind...he plays end of

I have to disagree, mate - I actually fear for his safety. I don't want United or Paddy 'making a point'; I'd rather him not (possibly) be attacked.

Ejected for the word 'Manc'? Sounds plausible...

Their visit to OT is going to be short!

Odd from the BBC journo, calls the Mirror liars but (indirectly) admits to not actually hearing what the fan said.
