Officially gullible
Name another manager in the Premier League, or European Football that would be stupid enough to do this...
Joke of a man.

Joke of a man.
it was shameful from the liverpool fans. that tribalism and a clubs incompetent handling of a very serious matter could drive them to abuse a black man whos only crime was to stand up for himself and refuse to be called out by his skin colour on a football pitch.
Liverpool fans have no idea the damage they have done with their actions yesterday. not just to them and their club. To say to any black kid here is what happens when you complain. truly shocking and disgusting
an another note I was actually compelled to write to ITV today to express my revulsion at their coverage of the game yesterday.
To ignore the obvious bile coming through the speakers and allowing it to be brushed off by Dalglish and others like that was shameful. And their directors cutting to Suarez for his celebrations and then cutting between him and Evra at the end was a horror show. What was the message Luis is vindicated and celebrating while Patrice is rightly beaten and leaving the field. the world really needed to see Suarez, all rush of teeth to the front, jumping up and down laughing like he had gotten justice or something? so poorly judged by ITV
Suarez will be rightly hammered when he comes to OT. and it is different to what Evra got yesterday. Cos Evra is innocent. Evra fought the good fight and was proven right. Suarez is guilty of racially abusing another player. Guilty by his own words. Guilty. and thats why the OT crowd will be justified in showing Suarez and KD (for his sorry part in it all) exactly what we think of them.
The sad thing is... will this encourage players to speak out about racist behaviour in the future?? Knowing they could get abused/ vilified / sent death threats (in the case of Ferdinand) for it?
It's depressing.

Dalglish has single-handedly decimated the work of the anti-racism movement in English football, and he's still making light of it in interviews.
Black people are merely 'tolerated' in professional British football, because of their talent but for no other reason. Organised football in Britain is an intrinsically immature sport, intellectually-speaking; for example, how many of us were trained to lap the pitch a hundred times, rather than concentrate on skills? How many of our coaches & managers were tantamount to glorified PE teachers? Sure, that's the amateur game, but it appears to be little different in the professional world...
She is quite connected in baseball and knows a couple of players at the redsox. they are quite literally stunned that this has happened. cannot believe in this day and age it could happen. not necessarily the incident but the response.
But that never before has she seen what happened yesterday. the sanctioning of abuse of a player that was vindicated in a racist enquiry. that the booing she heard was acceptable and not condemned instantly from all corners.
I was amazed at Suarez turning up at the game and then celebrating like he did. Its so repulsive to see an individual and an organisation with no sense of responsibility or the wider picture. Its shocking really but then so is the acceptance of such behaviour from the wider footballing world.
BBC said:Liverpool have apologised after video footage showing an alleged racist gesture by a fan during Saturday's FA Cup tie against Manchester United was featured on their website. Highlights of the cup tie, featuring the alleged incident, were available to view on the "LFC TV: Must Watch Video" page until 1500 GMT on Monday - more than 48 hours after the end of the game.
Commenting on the incident, a spokesman for Liverpool told BBC Sport: "We can confirm that footage featuring an alleged incident during the match was mistakenly included in the highlights package that appeared on the club's website. This was a mistake, it should not have been included and we are sorry it happened. It was removed immediately when it was brought to our attention."
As gutted as I was about the result it honestly pales in comparison to the sickening feeling I'm left with experiencing the behaviour of large parts of the Liverpool support during the game.she watched the game and told me that in her lifetime she has seen and heard some repulsive things. But that never before has she seen what happened yesterday. the sanctioning of abuse of a player that was vindicated in a racist enquiry. that the booing she heard was acceptable and not condemned instantly from all corners. she just kept saying they have to stop the game. the united players need to walk off. I didnt know what to say. she was actually shaken by it for quite a while and it really brought home to me the seriousness of it all.
I can only speak for myself, but I find the idea of booing a player simply because he reported a case of racial abuse deeply disturbing. The whole trivialising of the issue of racism -- especially the assumption that Evra outright lied to get Suárez suspended, and thereby implicitly claiming that Evra would piss on the issue from a great height just to get a cheap one-up -- goes far beyond rivalry and tribalism.I can't say I was bothered by the booing given to Evra (the racist gesture shown on TV is another matter though). They're our bitterest rivals. What were we expecting, applause every time Evra touched the ball? Shaken by it? How does she get through life then? (With all due respect)

yes she was shaken by it. 40,000 people booing a black man at a sports event. guess she should just cop onto herself. I'll tell her ye said so. thanks for that.
My sincere apologies, my comments were a bit insensitive.
Anyone read the F365 mailbox today?? some of the arguments for condoning the booing are laughable at best...
Here are a few...
"Maybe (hopefully) the majority of people on Saturday were booing Evra just as they would any other Manyoo player - because he's quite good and has pitched up at Anfield playing for a team that isn't Liverpool. Nothing wrong with that, surely?"
"Two questions: 1) Can any of those fans or journalists getting on their high horse honestly put their hands on their hearts and say that, given a similar situation at their club, the same would not have happened 2) When was the last time that a Man United captain playing at Anfield didn't get booed?"
"Evra wasn't booed on Saturday because of his skin colouring. People must remember that he wasn't just the victim in this - he also caused the argument in the first place by referring to Suarez's sister as a 'c**t'. Hardly a nice thing. There were also discrepancies in his statement(s)."
"..All you people feeling sorry for Patrice Evra, think about this. You are standing at a bar and Paddy Evra walks up to you and says 'your sister's p*ssy'! Is booing him really the worst thing that would cross your minds? If your response is to called him a 'negro' you are a complete moron, yet if you didn't at least react in someway you are a better man than I am."
What a load of horse cock.
On another note, I did this for the movie posters thread in the generals... and as people in their enjoyed it, thought it might deserve a place in this mammoth thread.

my girlfriend is black. she's american and kept herself informed as to whats happening in this case as she thought it was interesting. She is quite connected in baseball and knows a couple of players at the redsox. they are quite literally stunned that this has happened. cannot believe in this day and age it could happen. not necessarily the incident but the response.
her words to me when I did my best to explain the defence of Suarez on cultural grounds is that 'I know lots of south americans in sport. there is not a chance in hell a white south american would use the word negro in an argument with a black player and not suffer consequences'.

They seem to be ignoring the fact that Suarez agreed what Evra said couldn't be directly translated to English and was akin to saying something like for feck's sake.
Violent and slanderous?you have to place it in the context of the often violent and slanderous world of European football rivalry.
To understand the booing of Evra you have to understand the mindset of the Liverpool fan. They already decided Suarez was innocent the moment Evra accused him. Once the report came out, all it proved in their eyes was what an evil lying bastard he was, and how successfully he had deceived the panel, regardless of the credibility of his claims. It also proved how corrupt the FA was, because in their heads the only immutable fact is that Suarez is innocent and honest, Evra is a deceiver and literally everything else that happens is interpreted to fit that narrative. They're not booing him for being racially abused, they're booing for playing the race card for the third time and inventing racial abuse to get their most highly rated player banned for 8 games, because as far as they're concerned, that's what happened.
The fact they have no objective grounds to believe Suarez is innocent, that Evra is probably the victim of racial abuse, that doesn't come into the morality of it, because their 'King', their players, their fellow fans, they're all saying with the utmost certainty that Suarez is innocent. If any fan sits on the side of decency, on the side of objectivity, they're a traitor, if any player dissents it's tantamount to a transfer request. I think if you turned the situation round and Ferguson was behaving in the frankly disgusting way that "King Kenny" has done, dividing it into us against them, our fans would be behaving in a similar way.
