F1 2021 Season

How did the rules dictate how the race should've ended when there's no rule that says a SC must be out there X number of laps? If they had removed Latifi's car and cleaned up the mess in 2-3min then the SC would've come in long before it did.

Because it was obvious that it wouldn’t be cleaned up in time to get all lapped cars through and then another lap before the SC comes in, as per the rules.

If they hadn't got the 5 lapped cars out the way, do we think Max would have still cleared them (they would have had to get out the way) and caught Lewis?
He probably would have cleared all of them but likely isn't in position to challenge at the two overtaking spots, which are in the 1st and 2nd sectors. Catching up to Hamilton in the last sector wouldn't have helped him any as there's no chance for an overtake there.

Surely unless they can categorically prove he wouldn't have passed them, they can't over turn it.

Where in the pack were the ones not allowed past?

I'm not a fan of either so have no bias.
The lapped cars would have held Max back even if it was a couple of seconds that’s enough time for Lewis to shoot off.

Was it the wrong decision

They said on the radio that it finishes under safety car

There wasn't time for everybody to Unlap

If they didn't unlap they had several cars to protect them

Yet somehow the fia changes their rules to unlap only the cars between Lewis and max

I'm.not sure merc could have accounted for that

Unless they said let's be careful... bunchbof homophones racists in the fia might look to find the only way possible to Rob the only black driver and the only driver with the balls to protest lbgqt rights in Saudi/ abui Dhabi... harsh to say it was the wrong decision
They clearly took wrong decision cuz they lost. Unless if u think that if the order would be reversed FIA would not take same actions but I won't go into conspiracy theories... Also read my post above. Basically they shouldn't cover for Max on first pit stop and should race their own race and would probably have enough lead to change tires under SC and still be first.

Max just wouldn't deserve this if he win.

He hasn't been the better driver, just had the better luck
   What a crock of shit. If he had "luck" this title would have been over two races ago.

Listening to Toto whinge like a bitch on that last lap :lol::lol: "its not fair" get to feck you clown

As someone who doesn't really watch F1, I love that the cars and teams and race director are all mic'd up and it's broadcast. That needs to be in football.

we’d just hear masi saying things like “hey siri, what’s involved in and stop and go penalty?” or the sound of him quietly sobbing.

Why are Red Bull even there for the decision? It is an issue around why all cars didn't unlap themselves, it isn't a protest against them directly. They have as much business there than any other team... Paints the FIA and F1 in general in such a poor light.

no matter what is decided, it’s not going to fix what happened today. it’s like this old family saying we have, “you can’t unfeck the turkey, rimaldo, christmas is ruined.”

Haha, thanks for the smile.

There was a race, one was winning with 11 seconds. Some dude crashed, went meant they all had to drive safely during which the 2nd place guy decides to stop and get new tyres which means a few cars overtake him.

They clear the mess up and restart the race but, only for the sake of TV entertainment, the referee decides last minute to change the rules and allow the 2nd place guy to start not only back in second place, but in line with 1st place and on new tires. Then win.

That about sums it up. And no, I'm not joking that actually happened

Appreciated buddy.
That is insane.

How is someone allowed to get new tyres with 1 lap left!?

If Hamilton didn't have to immediately defend as soon as the race restarted he'd have been clear and in the distance regardless of how quick Max got past the lapped cars.

Formula 1 has never been fair with the safety cars. Strange people all of a sudden realize this when their favorite driver loses. People in here were cheering when Bottas took out Verstappen via Norris. Was also extremely unfair. It happens. Part of racing.

You are deliberately ignoring the actual issue though.

You also ignored my perfectly valid question earlier. You claim to be a racing fan and think everyone should have wanted that last lap, which I did too, but yet you don't want to answer. I'm not surprised, you can't because it shows your whole line of nonsense up.

Cheek of you to simply talk "favourite driver" when you can't even be straight with yourself on this.

The right call under the rules was to not pit

The right rules if you had known they were gonna break-through rules was to pit

Essentially mercs mistake was not being telepathic

As expected. CAS it is. I’m interested to see what reasons they give for it.

I get that Hamilton got screwed, but what rules /laws were supposedly contrevened?
Some of these football comparisons are ridiculous. Safety cars, red flags and other types of stoppages have been a part of F1 for years, for good reason, and unfortunately they always mean someone loses out. The FIA haven’t been great, I get that but it’s apple and oranges trying to compare football and F1.
