Hamilton ain't in that group at the moment. Leclerc will never have that ultra consistency but he's got the pace which is all that matters in 90% of championships if you've got the car.

Hamilton winning is as likely as Tiger Woods winning the Masters again, slim to none. The advantage of having a much, much better car is gone forever, which is only very good for the sport.
They bought updates to fix the porposing not to close the gap. That starts from the next GP onwards once they get cornering porposing resolved, which needs to be fixed for monaco.

I think they’ll see the result as a positive though. They are now clearly the third fastest team which wasn’t given so far and they are much closer. Not close enough yet for sure. But rare in F1 to make huge steps.
