Quality of the final ball as been poor so far.
I'm not surprised , look at the midfield, even if its a non-league team, we are still struggling to dominate!!, but why one striker is what baffles me.

Conversation piece.

Re the United line up agaist Exeter - one thing, if we can't win this with plenty of room to spare, then the days of some of the second stringers will be truely numbered include Djemba, Bellion, Miller in this.

BTW: Is Kleberson still injured? When was the last time Saha last played?

Weather conditions not helping with the game.High winds and Heavy rain.

These types of games are always very difficult to put away with ease. first goal for Utd would probably change things dramatically. It's important this team wins - but other than that it's tough to draw too many conclusions from this type of game.

club still injured, Saha last played Nov 10th - is training and should be back for Liverpool.

Don't worry lads we have enuff on the bench to win it, but what it does show is that our so called back-up players are really poor!!.

Maybe you are right, a goal usually opens things up. But I can't help thinking that in these days of having 2 first teams, we have had much stronger line ups. I accept that this is perhaps the only way to give some of the players a chance, but for some reason our "second team" players don't seem to be the sort of quality players that Chelsae and Arsenal have.

I think players like Pique, Rossie and others deserve a chance, but players such as Djemba, Kleberson, probably Bellion, not sure about Miller as yet, don't seem to have what it takes to make the breakthrough.

When United signed Miller he looked a good prospect but some Celtic fans I know, in Scotland, said he wasn't Premiership class.

Well, lets keep an open mind - for the first half at least.

Poor Scholes must be dreading having to come off the bench for this one.....

I'd maybe start by putting Heinze on LB, move Wes to RB, Spector to RB and free Neville up for midfield taking off Jones - would allow us to kick them a little bit which sounds like it's been missing.

Yeh, the conditions sound terrible - swirling wind, rain. Sounds like an Alan Smith type of match to me. I think Fergie's going to have to bring them all on in the second half...Smith, Ronaldo and Scholesy.

It actually sounds like Exeter is outplaying us right now.

Have we had a chance yet? Reading the BBC video printer looks like we ain't!

Conditions sound like they sort of day when there could be an upset. And the excuse is that we can't play in the wind and rain!! Thats what we used to say years ago anyway.

I'd forgotten Smith was on the bench - Smith for Bellion sounds like a no brainer - he'd hold up the ball well for uswhich has been totally missing.
