FC Bayern 2015/16

Taste a bit bitter does it?

It's not that easy to tell without the full cotext, but yeah - he sounds quite bitter and I don't see why he needs to say stuff like that now.

They say it'S what Real offers. He still has contract at Bayern until '19. And Real are threatened with a two-year transfer ban. If i were a Bayern responsible, i recon i'd stay calm and offer him a contract extension with half that salary :D

It is actually a ban for two transfer windows, so one year in total, either starting this Summer or Winter. Lewandowski won´t sign an extension anytime soon. He is already one of the top earners and Kucharski & Co. already start their usual shenanigans. I reckon you will have a lot of "fun" with him in the next year or two.

Thankfully we signed him on a free transfer so frankly we can just relax. We don't need to recover anything, he can extend or not extend and leave on a free too, it's a free country.

Will Bayern sell Lewandowski if they get a very big offer from Madrid in the summer? He's a good player, but it doesn't seem that important to this Bayern team. He scored a lot of goals this season, but half of those goals were scored in 4-5 games.

Would be "just Perez things" to replace Benzema with Lewandowski. Benzema is as good if not better/more complete. If I'm Bayern I'd just ask for a swap and be done with Lewandowski's obnoxious agent. Ancelotti knows Benzema and got the best out of him, so there is also that.

Benzema has bigger problems than his quality.

Well.. who would replace him? I think the only striker on his level is Suarez and maybe Benzema in his current form. The former won't be on the market and the latter seems too scandal ridden for Bayern to spend huge money on him.

Bayern had different strikers in the last 6 years. All functioned in combination with Müller. Actually Mandzukic in his second year might have less goals but was a lot more decisive. And the play this season with more real winger action even could be better for a striker like him. In the first Guardiola years it seemed like crosses and with it Mandzu were just plan B. A
striker might be an important factor for Bayern but I do not see that stuck so much on one special player.

So did BVB not have "fun" with him after his move to munich was announced? I seem to remember he still scored a few goals. His agent is a dick but he is a professional.

He's always kept a distance to club and supporters. Which is ok, it's his choice. We had a few of those kind of players over the years. Some are still held in esteem by the supporters, because that depends on if the crowd feels they gave their best or not. Lewa will be one of them if he decides to move; nothing more, nothing less.
But not being a peoples favourite or adopting the "Bayern culture" also means - he is replaceable, because that would mean having a major impact on the teams success *and* a place in the heart of the fanbase. Which is why losing Schweini hurt.
Bayern doesn't rely on having "the best" striker in team. With that ammount of firepower on the wings and in offenive midfield, the 5th best or 6th best will give us the same ammount of goals/wins. Simple, but a fact.

The fee would be enormous. I'm okay with him leaving is he wants to, he isn't instrumental to the team. He would probably be the new world record transfer, it would give us a lot of room to maneuver.

Which is exactly what I meant. The comment was directed towards Kucharski, not Lewandowski. I probably worded that poorly, though.

Lewy is a top class professional in the literal sense, that he does not get attached to clubs and simply delivers what he is contracted for, which is completely ok. This will mean that he will never be remembered fondly by any supporter as club legend, but this is simply not something he cares for. So, yeah, pretty much in agreement with what you wrote.

He has that 5 goal game against Wolfsburg and one more hattrick. All the other goals are evenly distributed. It's not like you describe at all. He scored in 16 of the 28 games he played and that's without taking penalties. Take Müller's 6 penalties out of the equation to look at the players in open play and all of a sudden Lewa's importance to the team becomes as big as anyone's in the squad, if not bigger. Because even when he doesn't score he offers so much with his hold-up and link-up play. He rarely has bad games, where he's invisible.

He also scored all our goals so far in 2016 (4 goals in 3 games) while the other forwards still seem to be in hibernation after the winterbreak. Müller was a massive feck-up so far in front of goal since the winterbreak and without Lewandowski, Dortmund would be damn close in the league.

That's not true at all. Mandzukic in his second year looked totally lost more often than not. The equaliser in the 2nd leg against United was important, but other than that few of his goals actually mattered or were against top teams.

And in general Mandzukic never had as brilliant an understanding with Müller as we've seen with Lewandowski in the past 12 months. It also ignores that Ribery and Robben were the best players on the pitch more often than not and we don't have anyone playing on their elite level on the wings since Lewandowski joined us. Lewandowski shoulders so much more responsibility than Olic, Gomez or Mandzukic did.

I'm not worried one bit about Lewa's agent or the Real rumours. He won't leave for at least 2 years and he'll continue to excel for us. There's no one available on his level. Suarez is the only number 9 playing at an arguably higher level than him and even that might actually only look like that because of Messi and Neymar. Lewa's performances for Poland in the last 2 years have been absolutely sensational as well, which shows on what a crazy high individual level he's playing right now.

Not much to argue about. We don´t need to earn money in the transfer market. He has a contract till 2019. No reason to sell him this summer regardless of any offer.

It'll be interesting because it seems clear Flo sees another shiny toy in Lewa and we've seen he's a modern day mercenary, albeit productive, in terms of contracts/wages. Bayern have rarely been bullied into sales, even when a player wants to leave but it'll be a distraction nevertheless.

We don't need to sell, and with top players like Lewa the fee isn't really helpful. You can't replace them that easily.
We don't need room to maneuver. We've got enough money. We need the best possible players, and I don't see how selling Lewa would increase our quality.

I would not at all be ok with him leaving, if you mean next summer. He's got a contract.

Obviously his agent is trying to get a raise for him out of the hype and following Lewa's excellent 2015. That's his agent's job, and it's what he's doing.
Flirting with, sounding out other clubs is his agent's job too, especially if it helps with getting that raise.

But again, we are in a comfortable situation, and I don't have the feeling Lewa is in any way unsatisfied with his current situation.

I would be fine with this:

They are going to sell Lewa to Real for €120M and buy Dybala for €60M getting a striker that fits better into their system and making a profit along the way. I hate these cnuts.

Lewa is good, don't get me wrong. But I think he CAN be replaced (on a profit even) and I have no attachment to him in any way, so I really don't care. Was entirely different with Makaay for example.

What's the feeling about Alaba perhaps following Pep to City?
It would be the saddest day for the club since Breitner fecked off at the same age to play for Real Madrid. It won't happen though, definitely not this summer. I'll start worrying if he goes into the next season without having extended his contract.

Anyone else really impressed with Kimmich at centerback? It kinda makes sense in Pep's system, but more interesting going forward, I really think it shows that he'd be an amazing rightback for us. He's really almost a Lahm clone. He has the pace and the ability on the ball to play fullback, he's incredibly smart already in his decision making and positioning and he's obviously a very good defender. Right now he just has to play as much as possible no matter what position. But in the long run, I really hope he gets a few chances at rightback for us.

He was solid, last two games. He's played too few games to say where he's best. He was even playing wide at one point, wasn't he?

I've already called him the future rightback for Germany 2 years ago :D. Whenever I saw him for the German youth nationalteams he reminded me of Lahm.

There's just a really tall fella off camera who throws the ball in and it's very cleverly edited to make it look like Costa did it. You can tell by the pixels.

Joke of a decision to give that penalty, typical diving Robben. Can't believe this hypocrite criticized Costa for being disrespectful when he pulled that beautiful skill.
Brutal an Bochum, they were actually the better team, no point in watching this now.

i could recommend a good optician.

Mourinho would be proud with that boring, strong lineup in a cup tie against lower league opposition.

No point giving the youngsters some game time when you're pissing off in the summer, eh?

what on earth are you talking about ?

Bundesliga teams usually play with a very strong team, regardless the opponent; this isn't down to Pep or Bayern in particular. It's just 1 match after all, win it or you are out of the cup.

Sportbild are saying that Badstuber broke his leg during training today. I'm lost for words. :(
