FC Bayern 2015/16

Still think that Barca defense is there for the taking but yeah Bayern is the only team right now that's good enough to go toe-to-toe with them.
I would say Bayerns defence is equally suspect.

I love it. Whenever one defense of a superior team gave up one or two opportunities to score for the opportonent, then the common sense is "it is up for the taking" or something suspect. Just like Arsenal said before they went to Munich. We know what happened.

Getting there is the point.

Olymipiakos, for a change, really tried Bayern in the first half. Didn't pay off. But at least not only bullshit talking.

How long is Robben out for again. I was one of those who would have been happy to bring him here in January if it was possible but I've changed my mind. This guy can't stay fit.

You couldn't possibly get him (We STILL don't sell our stars, never really have done except probably Hargreaves) and he's fit by the way. Just precautious measure yesterday.

Kroos wanted to leave with 1 year left on his contract while Robben has done nothing but repeat that he wants to stay in Munich for as long as possible.

Bayern won't force a player to stay for the last year of their contract, but they also won't sell for any amount if there's no need to.

What is with Redcafe's obsession with signing all of Bayerns players?

So? Lots of teams have good players. There is a particular obsession with Redcafe United fans and wanting to buy all of Bayerns players.

Can you name the ones you have seen the Caf majority want?

Muller
Lewandowski

Who else?

Robben. Schweinsteiger was wanted before he moved. Thiago and Kroos too. Considering Bayern are a similar stature of club, that's a lot of players.

Robben? Go through the thread again. There are as many that believe he is too old or injury probe. Thiago was wanted right from his Barca days, nothing to do with Bayern as a club. Ditto Kroos.

The point I wanted to make was that these are absolutely elite players. Muller, Lewandowski or even the ones you mentioned. There is no club in the world who wouldn't have them if they could. So it's more about wanting the absolute best players than an obsession with a particular club.

They are. But so are Barca and Madrids, yet you only see people joke about signing their players. With Bayern Munich there seems to be an active agenda to try and get the rumours started for their players.

Like who? For both of those questions. Kroos was wanted because he was actually leaving the club and heavily linked, likewise with Thiago at Barcelona with all the nonsense at the U21s and transfer thread on here. ... And Schweinsteiger was basically the same as Kroos. Muller is just an excellent player and would fit perfectly in our side - he is van Gaal's special player after all - their relationship ascends that of a regular player and a coach. (I believe these are Muller's words, thereabouts) Who wouldn't want Lewandowski? And as Varun said, a lot don't actually want Robben. But yeah, we're chomping at the bit for every single player who has stepped foot in Bavaria.

eh?

On RedCaf I think you would find most people want Griezman and Lewa (from Dortmund days). Not sure where you're getting this agenda from...

wtf, who holds that much power on the caf.
FWIW I do remember once a rumor of Kaka being linked with Utd years ago which was generated on the caf.

The van Gaal connection to some of the players, especially Robben & Müller, meant that people took it more serious or some believed there's actually a chance of it happening. Don't think it's a thing in general, there are constantly rumours about Bale. Some on the Caf would love to sign Isco more than anything, same happened with Varane in 2014. You have the yearly Ronaldo transfer story and let's not forget the huge Ramos story last summer. I'd argue the Caf is just as 'obsessed' with Real players as with Bayern players, if not more.

Or you could say, whenever there's the slightest hint of a quality player maybe leaving somewhere, the transfer muppets go crazy, no matter the club ;).

You'll have to find me some evidence to support that claim.

This. I can't believe someone thinks the Caf is purposefully driving an agenda to start transfer rumors over Bayerns players  FFS.

Obviously the muppets will go gaga over top class players, no matter which club they're at.

Ah, Bayern right now announces Goodyear as new platinum partner. Then I looked if United has a tyre partner. Yes, you have - but who is Apollo Tyres? Never seen that brand.

Pff, you got a noodle partner? I thought so. Stick to your football mate. No one can touch us when it comes to sponsor partners. We've got them all.

All well and good. But, have you got an official Male Shampoo Partner of Bayern Munich in Indonesia, Singapore and Vietnam?

Correction: They *play* better than yours. I blame that on a 6-year run of three very good managers who all focussed on player development and have/had the team play in a similar style that sort of built up on top of what each of the predecessors did.

Last time I looked it up, Bayern were team with the highest revenue from sponsors/partners worldwide. Might have changed in the last 3 years, though.

Checked a list from the 13/14 season: In terms of commercial revenue, Bayern's 292 million Euros was only topped by PSG's 328 (*cough*). United back then could boast of a still very impressive 226 million. Of course the spanish and english top teams blow us out of the water in terms of TV revenue.

Again, I don't have any newer figures but to say nobody can touch you in that regard is a bit much, even with the new Chevrolet deal.

One year left on his contract and we weren't willing to pay the money asked. Probably rightfully so. Still got a Bayern shirt "Kroos 10" in my closet. Didn't work out.

Regardless how much I love him, we both know you got him because that's the kind of business we do with merited players we don't need anymore.
Still would love him to end his career as a sub for us, but it wasn't meant to be
.

Love the fact that German companies only give their money to German clubs.

You need a break from the internet. It's not good for your brain anymore.

I think he meant it a bit tongue in cheek, because of United has so many really odd official partners around the world. In comparison our commercial revenue heavily depends on German companies and we benefit from the strong economy within our own country, just like most German clubs do. Dortmund for example has a significantly higher commercial revenue than Arsenal and it's almost as high as Chelsea's.
