fecking laughable how they beat us to a midfielder yet again

I might be in the minority. But to me spending 80m euro or even more on Hummels and Sanches is really bad business.
Sanches seems great because he is a physical beast, but he is an average footballer.
And Hummels while talented, is prone to lots of errors and injuries.
He's an excellent signing if we ignore the circumstances. I just can't stand him, think we hurt the league unnecessarily and I really fecking hate hearing him talk in interviews. I've said before that he looks as if he lost his focus a bit after 2013 and that a move to a different club might bring back that missing bit of concentration/determination for him to be again the elite centerback he undoubtly was for 4 years from 2010 to 2013.I don't know much about Sanchez, but when I read he's only 18, I understood the price tag. I'm ok with dishing out that money for the shooting star of portugese football that gave us a good run for our money in the quarters. Balu et all have cautioned my hype about Hummels a bit, but I am willing to watch him more closely at Bayern and see how it develops under Ancelotti. He is still a national player for Germany and a current world champion. That alone justifies a certain price range, too. Whether it's smart or not to buy him, I don't know. But Bayern can afford to make one or two mistakes at the moment. And as shaky as our defense was this year, I'd try anything to get a solid backline again.
Shame our football people gave us Moyes and now trying for GiggsOnly time will tell if those signings are going to work out or not, but you got to admire how bayern get things done.
In football there're no guarantees, all you need to do is to identify your targets and sign them, bayern are doing that better than anyone else at this moment and they get pretty good deals as well.
Football people running a football club.
Genuine question: How do Bayern just get things done so efficiently without long drawn out sagas? They don't even really over pay, they seem to get deals done at good prices so quickly.
Does Alaba still want to play at CM?

So, Hummels seems to be about to sign and Renato Sanchez has just been signed! We're doing stuff! More midfield! Can we please get rid of Alonso now?![]()
I think Sanches is a fantastic signing - even for that Price.
Not so sure about Hummels. Him and Boateng are good CBs but a bit too similar as a Pairing.
And Hummels Shows signs of decline.
Pretty much the antithesis of a Guardiola signing -- it's obvious that Ancelotti is going to play a lot more conventionally. A proper back 4 for which he needs proper CBs (Hummels, Boateng, Badstuber), probably 2 DMs (Alonso, Martinez, Sanches)?
True. I doubt we'll get to see much of either Alaba or Lahm in their midfield when Ancelotti arrives. I think that Martinez will be their main DM aswell, with Vidal and Sanches a bit more forward. Gonna be very interesting to see how they'll lineup next season tbh.
Not bad options at all, though I suspect Ribery, Alonso and Gotze are on their way out. Ancelotti liked Alonso at RM though, so he might keep him.Looking like they going to have
Alonso, Martinez, Vidal, Sanches, Thiago, Muller, Costa, Robben, Ribery, Coman & Gotze battling for 5 places not bad Carlo
Dissapointed, but not suprised at all. Hummels was a pretty much done deal, while Sanches had a bunch of gigantic clubs after him and he chose Bayern which is understandable. They're a much better side than us and is more attractive for players aswell. Kind of irritating to see how fast Bayern announce their deals, both when it comes to managers and their players...They're just an extremely well run club while we still struggle after the Ferguson-era. Gonna be interesting to see how Sanches does it there. Alonso isn't exactly getting younger so he should be able to get plenty with playtime under Ancelotti.
neither Ribery nor Alonso. Alonso extended his contract until '17 only in December and Ancelotti approved it. Rib is the peoples hero in munich and a Hoeneß protegeè. If he wants to stay, he can.Not bad options at all, though I suspect Ribery, Alonso and Gotze are on their way out. Ancelotti liked Alonso at RM though, so he might keep him.

Are his injury problems not getting irriating for you guys? He's an awesome player but he's so injury prone, I remeber when Liverpool were odds on favorite to sign him from bayernI would bet on Ribery having a real great season in 16/17.
Ancelotti seems to be the ideal coach for him and he seems to be influenced even physically when things for him aren't right.
