Fergie eyeing January deals

The latter of course.

Keane, Andy Cole, Denis Irwin, Lee Sharpe all have done well for us. All come through not from big clubs, and perhaps never played in Europe before the play for us. They maybe a little expensive, but the risk is less. Also Fergie's record in buying Premiership talents are fantastic.

Come on g we're talking about a whole new generation, times have changed you can't compare that type of business to what happens now.. It's like believing Fergie can scoop up a player from Cambridge (ala Dublin) that would be capable to step straight up to United's level, it's not going to happen!!

Robbie Keane at 5-7 million pounds. He is very mobile, speedy and finishes well. A useful player in my mind whou would have no problem adjusting to the EPL. Only problem would be his age and lack of Champions League experience. Well, the same could be siad to be true for Teddy...

Your the same type of person that was on here in the summer telling eveyone that our attacking depth would be ok!! And look now we only have two main strikers. We all get in a uproar when we see O'Shea and Fletcher coming off the bench so why the helll!! do we need a nother couple of them just to make our squad look large and value for money!!
Ole and Smith still out.

What about Gary O'Neil?

Hard to say. Played really well last year, but has been mostly used wide on the right this year, and he's much better in the middle. I thought he was quite promising for a while, but I'm not sure he's going to step up. A bit like Defoe in that respect. Both still have a chance, though.

we definetly need to bring a few players in during the January transfer window...I dont know if this had been said already but...looking at the game over the weekend againts Chelsea...United dominated the game during the 1st
half and during the break Mourinho made a few tactical decisions and Chelsea dominated the 2nd half...I don't believe anyone else was relieved to see O'Shea and Fletch coming on...atleast I wasn't...Chelsea as greater depth of players that when they need to make a tactical change they can affect the game...a few key injuries to our squad (touch wood)could definetly hurt us and our chances...

Like your new location Plech.

we dont need a midfielder, Scholes and Carrick are proving they can work together. Bringing in a purely defensive midfielder would upset the balance.

we do however need to bring in a forward and a wide player to give a better depth to the backup

The latter I agree with, the former I don't. We should sign OH if we can.

Can somebody call Torres and ask him if he's interested in joining us. Would really love to know, as the talk of him seems to be never-ending.

we need one quality central mid, one quality striker, and one quality winger. please. please.

I want us to sign a enforcer.

this is football, not the NHL

or maybe you want to sign someone like Georges Laraque, he's worried tough guys are being pushed out of the NHL
